@pinguino:
I should be getting mine from expansys-usa (mobileplanet) by Friday. I paid $634 for a 2 year AT&T contract at $90 per month for 900 minutes voice and unlimited data. That's more than $300 less than what I was expecting to pay. Now I can buy some software AND eat

Hi all,

Has anyone checked E-Bay lately as there seem to be loads of X1's for sale some are VodaFone upgrades and some are unbranded. I don't know if some people have just been getting them to sell or if they are users that just didn't get one with the X1 like me. When i sold mine on the 29th October i got £500 +Postage and they still seem to be going for between £450-£550.

@WhyBe

Ouch that seems terribly expensive compared to what we can get in the UK seeing as your stuck with a 2 year contract i really hope you love your X1 after all of this.

Marc

far as I know you can't buy online direct from Vodafone, you buy from their stores. Now the store might be a franchise not owned by Vodafone, but it seems to me that if the store isn't selling the phones for what vodafone dictates, they are probably breaching their franchise contract!!

And so, because the store won't abide by Vodafone's online promises, vodafone have lost a customer. The retail store may be a different entity to the online, but the online is owned wholly by vodafone. So I don't think vodafone will be happy with a store losing customer's for them.

With all of that money spent, I have no choice but to love it I paid nearly the same for my p910a.

I don't mind though. I've been with AT&T since they were Cingular and whoever they were before that! Over here, it's either T-Mobile or AT&T if you want GSM.

My X1 coming, plus, the good news on CNN...damn, it's a good week so far!

Can anyone give me a comparison between the camera on the P1i and the one on the Xperia X1? The macro results on the P1i are especially satisfying, better than the N95 and any mobile phone I have used to date - does the X1 compare?

So where are people getting their SIM-free, unlocked X1s online from? Can I get some sites, please?

I'm thinking about ordering mine from the UK, while the Aussie dollar is doing reasonably well against it. Knowing the pricing we get here in "the lucky country", I'd be paying like AU$1600 for an X1 if I bought it here. That's like almost 700 pounds. The Touch Pro is $1500 atm and that's not even SIM free...

Ordered mine from Clove out here. US$750 with FedEx shipping is pretty reasonable.

just to share my story on getting the X1 from O2 retail shop last saturday.

My vodafone was due to upgrade and when I calll them, they've just running out of stock and waiting for new shipment. So I went to vodafone retail shop just to check. in the beginning the salesman said they got no stock and maybe will get them in a week ! the next day I went just to check again...and the sales guy said the same (no stock). I told him that I'm currently on vodafone and planning to buy from carphone warehouse as they have stock. Then the guy asked me to wait while he go and check inside. Surprisingly, he came out and say that they got 3 units in stock !!

Then, I ask to upgrade, he asked me to pay for 200 pnd for the phone. I told them its too high and what if I want to buy new contract ? He said If I want the phone free, I have to pay monthly 50 pnd and no free mobile internet. I told them, on the vodafone website, it is 45 a month and free mobile internet. He said it is different entitiy between vodafone online and retail.

It really pissed me off. Then, I simply went to O2 retail shop. I asked them about xperia ( I thought they will not have it), surprisingly the salesman said they have one unit left.

and the deal that I got from O2 is 45 pound a month with 1200 minutes, 500 txt and unlimited mobile internet plus 4 GB micro SD card. I agree with that and called vodafone to cancel my line and request PAC code.

Now... I'm happy with my Xperia.

I got the very same deal last thu dude, O2 Plymouth. Lovin this brick
