2.3ghz is the standard clock speed of S800. 2.5ghz would mean lower battery life. And to be frank even 2.3ghz is overkill.

One Sony will have an all new image processing algorithm.

Anyway, Dogo launch is SOON

Final specs

4.65 1280x720 HD Reality Display
Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 PRO APQ8064 1.5ghz
Adreno 320
2GB RAM
4G LTE ( C5503 LTE, C5502 HSPA+)
13.1 MP Exmor RS Camera with HDR, 1080p video
16 GB Internal
Water/Dust Resistance

Can we start guesses on Sony's new mobile brand name? I'm assuming Sony will keep Sony Xperia for the non-flagship phones.

Sony Playstation - Sony Walkman - Sony Cybershot

These iconic names are influenced by how the Japanese create new words in their language by combining English words, like Play + Station (as opposed to work station), Walk + Man, Cyber+Shot, etc.

If Sony is really starting a new brand for their single flagship phone, I feel like it will use the same naming method.

Sony ____ + ____ (....Something that describes the use of smartphones in our lives.)

Sony Lifeman

Sony Lifephone lol

Sony Heartspot

Sony Heartstation

I can't think of anything that doesn't sound bad.

IP 55/57 Water/Dust resistant

2700-3000 mAh Battery

Walkman Audio

Will be sold under a new sub brand umbrella like Samsung Galaxy "S" line

new sub brand would be great ...
i said before , sony need something special
new series , own SoC and own event . like Apple and then samsung ...

and
VA Type screen?
VA has small viewing angles!!

sony really need to fix their screen's veiwing angles!
viewing angles is not Important to me and not necessary in daily usage , but viewing angels will become the Achilles heel for sony ...

Panel is undecided but it will be one of these:

5 inch 1080p WhiteMagic JDI 2000:1 Contrast IPS-NEO panel

Or

5 inch 1080p Sharp IGZO 2000:1 Contrast MVA panel.

Both have same viewing angles, and quality too about the same. Power efficiency is also same

High quality VA panels have as good or better viewing angles than IPS. Htc One X/ HTC One etc have VA panel.

BTW rumor rating on One sony specs - XR4 for the most part, XR3 for RAM (May be 4GB also), battery size and Internal memory( May get 64 GB option).

Multidomain Vertical Alignment (MVA)
MVA technology, was later developed by Fujitsu in 1998 as a compromise between TN Film and IPS technologies. On the one hand, MVA provided a full response time of 25 milliseconds (that was impossible at the time with IPS, and not easily achievable with TN), and on the other hand, MVA matrices had wide viewing angles of 160 - 170 degrees, and thus can compete with IPS in that parameter. The viewing angles are also very good in the vertical field (an area where TN panels suffer a great deal) as well as the horizontal field. MVA technology also provides high contrast ratios and good black depth, which IPS and TN Film couldn't quite meet at the time.

it's great ...
sony also need better black level ...

Man, I'm excited about these awesome specs

Do you have any info about the design? I hope they come up with a striking design like the XZ or SP

Design and specs both are not finalized. It will be finalized this coming month - April. So maybe we will get more info by May.

Also, GAGA is Japan only phone. No global model

Hmm, it is a pity the phablet can't get the same high end camera or walkman specs that will be arriving in the 2H flagships. If it could get all of that, I'd get it without question. Now that there's talk of the 2H flagships having these nicer things, it raises a bit of doubt. Then again the phablet will come before those ones and will have an advantage with its stylus.

Interesting that the sensor size of the 2H flagship(s) is 1/2.3", but it's still rumored to be a match for the Pureview 808. It's entirely possible if it's using a Exmor RS design, but just found that interesting.

If the rumors of the Cybershot and Walkman flagships are true, I suppose the reason to have them seperate is because the Cybershot one might have a xenon (or equivelant?) flash that would be pretty battery draining, and the Walkman one would have a dedicated amp that would also be a drain on the battery.

So... I guess what, 2014 we hope to get everything in one? IF these rumors are true, it just goes to show that we have not yet seen the best of Sony in a phone, but I suppose we're getting there.
