Maybe we can flash to English first and when the /8 finally catches up, we can then flash back to /8.
Does anyone know if I were to get my P990i flash by Service Centre to English /1 or /2, will I still be able to use SEUS for future updates? Not sure if there are some form of verification by the SEUS that will detect that the phone has been changed.

@ kfchoong
I'm pretty sure you won't have problems updating via SEUS in the future once it is flashed to /1.
I live in New Zealand but the phone was bought in Hong Kong. Where would I go to get it flashed?

It has supposedly International Warranty and you should be able, having an invoice, to get service anywhere in the world where they sell officially this phone!

Heard that if I were to flash from /8 to /1, the warranty will be void. How true is this as the flashing is done by the SE Service Centre?
BTW, since the /8 is the "Singapore" version, is it true that it is developed in Singapore?

im selling my p990 with 4gig memory stick duo pro by sony. any takers?
or swap with a w950?
bought myself a palm lifedrive. plays videos better. mp3 is very good, equalizer works great on the registered version of pocket tunes. bigger screen, wifi as well.

Finally got Vodapoo off my P990i with a good debranding and up to the new firmware.
My phone actually reset itself during calls today which it has never done before!
Apps don't close automatically although when I close them memory recovery is better.
SMS flashing after reading text is still there.
One other thing, i now get a beep when i make a call instead of the usual tone, anyone else noticed this?

@god1_jason:
Palm LifeDrive? Interesting choice. Can it make phone calls also?

nope. it doesnt make phone calls. lol lifedrive is an organizer running on palm os with built in 4gig memory.
i got it for playing text twist. i have been looking for text twist for symbian uiq3 but i there is none. i even posted a thread here for this game! so i bought another device purely for games and videos. video is very nice on my lifedrive, as it plays instantly. very sharp. and i dont really need to reencode it either. i have xvid avi files at 600-700mb per movie and it plays flawlessly!

One of the reasons I traded my P990i for the i-mate JASJAM. I got hooked on Bubble Breaker (yes, silly, I know) on my previous phone, the i-mate JAMin. But now I miss the STPuzzles package I had on the P990i and can't find any good WM5 versions of the Net puzzle.
