it makes sense to release the next OS upgrade of symbian to their sony ericsson phones cuz wwindows mobile6 is out and SE has alot of improvements to make upon their symbian phones to be able for them to compete w/ wm6. they have to fix there minor problems for their phones to shine in the market.

I'm not sure if you know, but there is a "work around" of sorts if you're using SM. Just open your video file with SM in FC and your vid plays.

Ok I was just talking to a nice DEVELOPER who works on a P700 proto and has also P990 with R6 upgrade.... These are TWO upgrades for P990 - WITH and WITHOUT 9.3. And he gives 30% for a new Symbian 9.3 in P990. And 70% for the second R6 on the current Symbian. And he also says that P700 is on Symbian 9.2 - there's no phone on 9.3 yet..

That is very interesting but have or you can you find out anything about the possibility of the P990 getting HSPDA? As a far as i am aware this requires different hardware, as if not why would it not automatically be enabled if it was already there any info would be greatly appreciated.
I am even considering getting a P990 or W950 and just holding it until the new version OS arrives as currently a brand new unbranded P990 can be bought £245 which IMO is some what of a bargain and W950's can be found cheaper even Vodafone have adverts stating £200 off the W950.
