Because, for me, document mode is better for macro pics
Look difference, both pics with Kop 3.3
1. document mode, with auto balance
2. auto mode, with macro, and auto balance
One major difference between document and macro in normal mode is that the AF led lights, and that in document it doesn't. Looks like this confuses the phone when it AFs because the orange light gets reflected (and it will get a stronger reflection in your audio jack converter since it is shiny). If we could find a way to turn off the AF led in normal mode... I tried doing that once, but then the phone camera crashed when I tried taking a picture. But I'm pretty sure it's possible to turn off the light though. I just didn't try enough.
Or even better, we need manual focus

Yes, but document is better macro mode, not only for shiny objects...
I understand you, but AF led is good for some situation, but its not good for macro shots...

Yup... I got that zoom bug too. Maybe It is because 22fps.
Just wondering,what's the different between R5 & R6 camera version ?
Is it R5 for K800 & R6 for K810 ?

I still get the zoom bug in 3.3! BUT we dont need zoom for video recording, so it doesnt bother me (what the hell can you see if you zoom even 2x on a 177x144 video??) Bestpic is OK, so i dun care for zoom. You can puch the FPS further, as long as it doesnt affect bestpic. 3.0 was VERY good in sharpness. i'll test 3.3 tomorrow.

Guys, I notice some complaining about extra noise when ISO is at 400. If you want to use a larger ISO setting get used to it, there's nothing you can do - especially in low light. All digicams suffer increased noise as ISO increases, especially camera's with small lens. Read up on ISO if you want to understand why.
Has anyone really been happy with any of the mods they've done? About the only mod that makes any real difference is playing with the sharpness setting. I think increasing the sharpness makes for less natural looking images and is not suitable for everyday shots. Increased sharpness seems best used for macro shots - in which case you can use document mode.
Everyone's got their own personal preferences - that's mine.
I have not noticed any great difference by using 95-100% compression. And, It really doesn't make any sense to me why photo's get smaller in file size as you decrease the amount of compression used. I'm struggling to see what the difference is in the 2mp photos when the buffer size is set to 900kb. All I see is a bigger file.
For now I have reverted back to orig cam driver as I would rather reliability over tweaks that offer very little improvement. Most imprtantly, it seems there is no way address the lack of anti-aliasing in this camera. This comes down to firmware/hardware. But, the more I look around the more I see that other camera phones suffer the same issue - although not quite as badly or frequently as the K800.
Lastly, if you guys what to be a little more adventurous I reckon you could write you own macros to set various sharpness settings. It shouldn't be too hard. In the orig driver all you have is a Normal and Document macro used to set EV and sharpness. So you could get the scenes (property 16 of the drive to use different settings if you like by calling dife
