not exactly stomach 'round here... after the stomach... the intestines... there's a story why people started eating it around here:
Lisbon was about to be under siege by spanish troops and the king (that TWERP!) ordered the realm to supply the city so that they could resist the spanyard siege that was to come... everybody sent food, specialy Porto, 'cause it was the second biggest city in the realm... which lead, of course, to famine... the people had nothing else to eat, so to survive they started eating tripe to avoid starvation... the poor bastards cooked it in such a way that it became the plate that simbolized the city itself... life's funny sometimes, huh...
