Technological advances in mobile just see where it takes us more surprise? Samsung raises the bar of competition for the respect!

Please Nokia - pull your finger out and release a mass market available in the UK Lumia phone with the 808 camera module !!!! even if they put it in a mid range phone like the 620 it would still rock !!

Did I actually just say something cheesy like ROCK !!?

That doesn't sound like your talk. Nokia will make it. Funny you should say a Lumia 620 as that budget phone the camera does ROCK!! I liked your Instagram pics The main Instagram app is still not made for Windows phone but Nokia made a protest app with filters to Instagram and also a new app called Isdagram is now up and running on Windows and it's really good.

@etaab,after the portico update the Lumia 920 camera was massively improved and it can take excellent shots. Yes it has more noise but if you tweak about with it they can come out good. And the new 925 is also an improved camera too

After using a N8 for the past 2+ years as my main camera, never mind cameraphone, I don't get easily impressed with cameras on newer operating systems. Theres only the 808 which beats the N8 imo.

Ive seen some nice samples from all different types of phones this past year or two, but ive never been impressed.

Might look for the N8 discusssion on here for nostalgic reasons when it first came out Here is a video I shot on the N8 one night before my 40th birthday at Symphony Hall in Birmingham. My dad got me the ticket to see Katherine Jenkins And the acoustics in that hall are great and the sound is distortion free on the N8 but her concerts are not quite as loud as say a rock gig for instance. But as the song goes on you hear the drums and there is no distortion. I have had many expensive compact cameras before from Sony,Panasonic etc and none have ever produced as good a sound for a loud gig as Nokia has done on the 808 and Lumia's(although the Lumia's produce mono sound until Microsoft update comes).

I forgot to put on spot metering as Katherine came out a big bright

The 808 teardown video. The size of that camera inside it's a beast

Did you use the zoom in that video ? I love how with the N8 you can use maximum zoom with no loss of detail. Brilliant camera tech which made its way into the 808.

I'm not here to create a debate, but how hard could it be for Nokia to make a pureview on vanilla android? Just put a powerful processor and price it high. It WILL sell, and would make a lot of people happy, not me, I'm not overly enthusiastic about photography, but a lot of people are. 1080p screen too.
