I must say it is a little dark, but very good. i find myself analyzing all characters, relations, events while watching. this is the first show that has stimulated such thoughts, and to this level that i'm having them. i almost cried when watching the intro movie/mini series, thats how good it is. anyone ever played a game called fallout? fallout1+2 is my favourite game ever...

it is a game where the world has been destroyed by nuclear warfare. you are a descendant of people who survived in a giant underground vault. it is many years since and the water purification chip in your vault broke. you are sent outside to other vaults to find another chip. from there the story unfolds. its dark, lots of subtle humour (from python to general)

The feel and look although way in the future is this fifties commercialistic look. it is just such an incredible game. spent many hours playing it. fallout 3 is in development after fans got incredibly annoyed with waiting so long.
it seems my favourite titles game and movie wize generally falls in the area of humans in desperate situations, and the journey of coming out on top.

@francoislr: Is Fallout available on PS2? It sounds quite interesting.

Unfortunately not. it is an old game. 97. It is an rpg. most rpgs are fantasy, but tend to be dodgy, which in my books are wrong. there is a fallout title for the playstation but the fans of the game swore to have nothing to do with it due to the type of game it is. it is a shooter or something. it happens in the same world. reviews said its crap.

Personally I don't like PC games I'd much rather play on a dedicated console although some PC's are quite powerful and render awesome graphics. Maybe it's having to squint at the small monitor.

Saw a bit of it a few hours earlier. was two nil at half time, but then went on with watching Battlestar Galactica.
@ brix, get a bigger monitor:) fallout's control would be crap on a console. you have to navigate so many menu's. games like that stick to the pc due to that fact. they are rich in game play. rpg games originated in the whole dungeons and dragons line. they are rich games, ...

...and are only rich if you choose to explore the world and its characters. the graphics in fallout is pretty dated considering it came out in 97.
Consoles have their place, but so do pcs. the future of gaming is going to change drastically. would be amazing to see where it goes in the next twenty years. added with that, my gaming days are in its last. few special titles enjoy my attention.

Console favours casual gamers better than pc does, i am find that pc games are cattering more for the hardcore gamer.
Both platforms have their strongs points, console which is better at fighting games for example where pc is better for fps games.
At the end of the day i prefer pc mainly for their mutli player option and versatility of functions of the pc, though truth be told i sure i could have bought a crappy car woth the amount of cash i have spent on this rig.
