@da krypsta: There's lot of urban legends about the time it takes to brew "quickcharge", from one to two days...apparently because the demand for it, especially in the summer months, is too great and SABMiller won't put quality before profit.

@ Coola, i thoroughly enjoyed the Da Vinci Code. Not everybody watches it with the same enthusiasm as i did after i'd read the book; i'd advise taking along an open mind and leaving any prejudices at home...

@ Abubakar, if i had a pc i'd certainly lend any support which i could...

@ Brix, agreed in full, during the summer months down here the SABMiller can't keep up with the demand for Labels.

@ coola, the davinci code is apparently a load of hogwash in the theories proposed in it. i have read many a documentation ripping Dan Brown's theories to threads and exposing the holes, and pointing and laughing at all his contradictions, which there are one or two of. My favourite was this literature professor ripping apart the book from a literature sense, the bad writing, the stupid sentence composition, and all that. So from that, and the reviews I have heard, why bother. I can think of 10 better ways of spending 2 hours. the genre, pretty much a genre where it tries to make people think, but feeds them lies and suggests it to be the truth.

@ abubakar, like i said earlier, the only sign of intelligent life out there is the fact that they have not made contact. if there is life out there, is certainly is not intelligent, as any form of living being that is intelligent would steer clear of the human race. Everything we put our hands on gets destroyed. Now anything intelligent messing with humans is playing with fire. We just seem to have the ability to make the most harmless thing a weapon. But my big reason for not SETI'ing is pretty much my browser already takes 10 minutes to start up. Anything else on the pc will just slow down more. I only install something absolutely necessary. And also, I do not believe in screen savers. Never have, never will, unless I join a program that researches the existence of screen savers, but once again, i cannot afford more stuff on this pc...i need more memory...(ignore my ramblings, i am just full of nonsense)

@ everyone, I would like to learn how to make beer...me and my friends wanted to do this for a long time now...would be cooooool!

@abubakar: Have to agree with francois, although I'm an avid fan of all things sci-fi I don't believe there's intelligent life in this galaxy.

I, on the other hand, do believe that somewhere out there, in some galaxy, there's bound to be intelligent life in some shape or other. The kicker, of course, is that it could, quite conceivably, be in a form unrecognizable to us...

As far as beer is concerned, i very rarely partake of a brew, i'd far rather enjoy a good single malt and water.

My best bud and i had a shot at concocting a home-brew once though, about 20years ago in fact. We came across a recipe for pineapple beer in a magazine, and duly trebled most of the ingredients, then allowed it to ferment for a week instead of the two days for which the recipe called... this, of course, after we'd firmly sealed the lid of the container with loads of Prestik.

The result was a brew so sweet yet utterly and ruthlessly potent! One sip was enough to send tingles down the spine, and a tumblerful enough to embolden the most cowardly soul. With the political climate as volatile as it had been then, i'm certain that if we'd given old PW a few glasses he'd have declared war on half the Western world without any qualms whatsoever!

I'm positive that a bit of Googling may render some interesting results, Francois...

Anyone know of a simple java IM app? There's a new girl at work I'm seeing (I know I just recently broke up) and she's crazy about MXit but I'm trying to get her off it due to its constant problems. I downloaded eMSN on her K700 but it's not user friendly.

Brix, maybe have a look at http://www.defza.com/wordpress/communication/jabber/mxit for some info regarding chat clients, interfacing with mxit contacts, etc etc

i find mxit fine most of the times, but 2nite it is giving crap...i am standing behind them in a vague attempt of South African pride. Think they will improve the speed as time goes on. they just need to work on the income stream.

and yeah, once you are on it, changing means all your friends have to change. i have tried others and they are a bit$h to get going. what makes me stick to mxit is that i can chat to a few international friends them using msn or googletalk...chat to them almost every second night with mxit.

oh, the beer....if i can make anything as good as amstel, that would rock...if i could make ciders it would rock more.
