I know what you mean, boet. I've been a mxit user since they launched, way back when there were only a handful of users, although i used it rarely in the past. Now that it's more established i've practically my entire family, here and abroad, hooked up, so we're in constant contact.

@mario, francois, da krypsta: As guys with 3G phones do you also have the problem of calls getting cut off when you move lose a 3G signal? It's very annoying because I live a couple of blocks from a basestation and should not get cut calls. This is almost like 1995 all over again.

Last night i was on the phone when that very thing happened; the call cut out when the 3G signal went South. In my house i get a 3G signal whilst in one of the bedrooms, but the instant i move down the passage it fades away. Vodacom has been giving problems in this area since Tuesday afternoon, and any queries to their call centre are met with the standard response that their technicians are working on the problem.

@brix, I have not really experienced that problem as such...i was driving around the other night, and talking, and it did not seem to bomb on me. I am sure I moved into and out of 3G areas, as I finished my conversation here where I work....outside there is 3G, here i have 1995 3G: nothing. The 3G networks were screwed yesterday. In fact, i think I only got ANY signal at all after 1am when I logged onto mxit to finish my msn chats....

What I have been doing lately is to switch the phone to GSM mode during the day and back on to dual mode at night when I'm mostly on wap or chat.

And He did say anyone, in the Biblical context meaning anyone on earth....So how would inteligent life fit into the picture? I do believe there could be something out there, but I think of this as spiritual manifestations, angels, demons, that type of thing. I am not discounting any possibilities in the universe, but i will not conform to any solid mindset about things like that as these can be changed in an instant.I know what I believe, and am secure in that. But the big thing, intelligent life here refers to life outside of spiritual/Godly sense. Life like human type. Extra-terrestrial. Even considering God would be found there at a specific place would be silly in the Biblical sense. It says God holds it all in His hands.He is everywhere. And all the time. We are so limited in our thinking and operation of our minds...God goes beyond our understanding of time and space. It is all so vast and interresting.
Also, about the UFO thing, if I was a freak, I would be into conspiracy theories full time, but I am a balanced person. I do not bug myself with these things. But I do believe that governments, especially yank government has a lot to hide. One interresting theory I have heard is US has perfected flying saucers ages ago. The reason for secrecy is to use this for something big, like revealing a one-world leader, or something huge like that. If this is true, it explains why they are covering up all the UFO crashes...they have A LOT to lose.
Sorry about that: i am the type of guy that argues both sides of the case. A little problem I have. I tend to see things from more than one perspective. Even when I believe something, lots of the time I would argue on the other side, just to challenge people to think out of the box.
i am a silly person.
