How long is it supposed to take? Mine (K750i) is on "updating software, please don't touch the phone", the progress bar has been full for about 5-8 minutes, should I just keep it like that until it says it's finished?

NEVER TOUCH THE PHONE WHILE UPDATING, OR YOUR PHONE WILL BE DEAD. 5 -8 minutes idle? That sounds scary..

HappyKhan, reinstalling windows is a cop-out answer. It is an utterly lazy response to a problem that is rather trivial. The issue is between SEUS and the driver for the DCU-60 cable. Uninstalling both the driver and SEUS, followed by re-installation with the most recent versions will see the problem solved. If not, rinse and repeat with a healthy number of reboots.

Eventually it'll work.

Read here. If unsuccessful - reinstall Windows.

Scary indeed, but I ended up removing the cable, turned it on. Seems ok, firmware was updated to the last version.
Java games ok (im j2me developer)
media player ok (listened to an audiobook while coming to work)
camera ok (took pictures of a building on fire once I got to work)

I reinstall Windows for 6-7 minutes. So it's easier for me than looking for bugs case.

All I did was simply disconnect the cable, turn the cellphone on, then checked the firmware version inside, it was updated.
After you remove the cable, what happens? At first, the phone seemed like it wasnt going to turn on. I removed the battery for 1 min and tried again.
