Re PDA: Definitly Pocket PC OS.

in my personal experience Palm is too bare and its MS Office support isnt really MS Office file format. But i think its a good enough pda for users with simple needs. Almost bought Handspring's first colored unit when it came out but it sucks big time so i changed my mind and bought a Jornada 720 Handheld PC instead.

I dont have much experience in Symbian but it is an evolving platform. But i have used a Psion Revo for almost a year before which i think is the ancestor of the symbian OS. Although i belive that one can be more productive in using the Pocket PC and even the Palm, Symbian has strong support from the mobile phone vendors and is undergoing a lot of improvements. Im looking forward on what the Symbian platform will be once/if it matures.

The mobile computing industry is undergoing a lot of changes. If you really need a PDA now then i suggest you get a iPAQ H3870 with builtin bluetooth. Otherwise better wait fot the Xscale Pocket PCs running on the Windows CE.Net platform, the Palms running on the StrongARM processors, and the Microsoft Smartphone OS phones. Athough the P800's will be running on the Symbian 7 with UIQ interface. Theres a rumor that the firmware to upgrade the P800 to the Microsoft's Smartphone OS is in the works.

This are just my opinions as a Pocket PC user and an active member of the Philippine Pocket PC communty.

But as the president of the sony ericsson user group... hmm... better get the opinion of other people who are into the Palm OS.
