Is there something in the P990i ? I bought mine from SE USA !

Or are they talking about phones that are being sold via Operators?

2 x cameras

You should know that the camera at the front can't be used (at least with the current fw) to take pictures. It's only used for video calls.

I don't find the article very credible. They may be referring to the line of mobile phones that have built-in GPS that MAY be possible to track. Although technically it's not entirely impossible, it would require intimate knowledge of the operating system (which I doubt even SE has at this point) and some kind of backdoor access to the phone, cooperation of the carrier, even then I think it would be noticeable. It would be much easier to monitor calls at the carrier exchange. In fact I believe that most land lines are being recorded and filtered for some key words. However, again you need a court order to listen to them. So, the next step is for private companies to start selling encryption programs, and of course corresponding decryption programs to the law agencies It's capitalism after all

To makbil:

what it not credible there? Perhaps you want to read it a abcnews.com. They are more credible?
At least I am stunned at this kind of *mis*-use. Big Brother at work!

What I'm saying is that without the cooperation of the carrier to allow interception at the exchange, I don't believe the current technology is yet up to it.
