Mates try your p990i without sw pro it works great just after using the applications closed it. I also tried to open all the possible applications with the phone(camera,media player,opera,message,contacts,calendar etc) then i check the ram its only 2.1mb but stil the phone works fine and faster then i close them all guess what i got a 11mb ram again.

One more thing that i have noticed. Then the phone has been off and you start it up and you have got some SMS you now get the right time when they where sendt. But this is not the case with MMS. Here you still get the time then the phone was powered up....

Newbie here
Im most probably in the wrong section for this topic, and I apologies in advance for it.
I have a P990 and the darn thing got a problem all it dose is reboot on starting. Now I have updated it today to the latest version of the OS but still the problem is continuing. Now has any one else had this problem and can i resolve it. I do need to add that sony ericssons support is terrible.

I got that as well a while ago, but then I created a group account (open internet connections and then click the groups tab) with my Home WLAN at the top, the automatic HotSpot account in the middle (have only been using a HotSpot once, and that was before I put it into the group, so I don't know if that works correctly) and GPRS in the bottom. Works perfect now.

Hi all,
I can not upgrade to new fw.
I installed the upgrader and did the things that updater assists...
put out the sim card, push the c button while pushing c, plug the usb, then program realizes the phone and says to release the c button, I do it and it says; detecting do not touch the phone... I wait and after some time it just returns to the start without giving any information about the process...
I tried it several times but the result is the same...
any recs?

Can anybody who could update to the new fw tell me which country is chosen?
another thing is that in the se pc suite, update section does not work. It shows the se site link. I run the updater program separately... is it ok?

The new updater program doesn't work from the PCSuite, just run it directly. I had to set the PC locales/country to UK English after which I had no problems accessing SEUS. Also make sure that Internet Explorer is the default web browser and that it displays web pages with the flash content, that is Macromedia flash player is installed.
