Sony are not working on pixel binning technology. They are working on a larger sensor for Xperia phones though, possibly a 1" type that is used in the RX100. It would be the largest sensor in any phone.
It won't be ready for 2013 though, the H2 phones are all going to use 13MP or 16MP without pixel binning, but with new camera software that allows for a NR=0 option.
This kinda deflates the talk of the 2H phone and its camera. Any additions/counters by anyone here?

I disagree. But then, going by zomg's recent track record I don't need to say anything much.
Whether he's trying to bring down his credibility to escape PA's eyes or just doesn't want to reveal anything now I'm not sure.
