w810i is an "old" phone. no new fw will be released.Besides,R4E is already stable.
True its an old phone.

Although, theres this R4GC010 f/w that Hlcn_Twst is using, I was just curious if this will reach SEUS.

I've got the same problems too with last firmware.
BUT - i never got it with MP3,
when i've started to use AAC(m4a) from iTunes 7.0 they appeared -- i'm encoding to 128 Stereo VBR.
382Mhz:
Master reset and card formatting didn't helped.
The BUG IS:
when playing song - at some time silence appears but playback goes on.
Switch to next track make walkman jump to next and next.
If to press Stop and then Play -- Walkman says -- "Cannot play file" (my SE interface language is russian, but the meaning is the same).
Reboot phone - playback works .... for 20-30 mins and then again.
I'm now testing NERO AAC encoder and CD-DA extractor (which has codecs from Coding Technologies, which developed aacPlus)

I have this same problem. 99% of my AAC library was ripped via iTunes 6.x. My last 3 CDs came through 7.x. After about 30 minutes of AAC-7.x playback, the

app will just start skipping through tracks without playing them. If I stop and manually re-select a track (any track, whether it came from 6.x or 7.x),

responds with "Playback failed." If I try to play anything via the File Manager, I get "Cannot play this file." Only a phone reboot clears things up, until the problem reappears.
All this on the new FW R4GC010

Recall the the US is about 1 year behind the rest of the world

Cingular, our largest GSM carrier, only released the W810 for sale last October. So I'm sure we will see a few more FW versions yet.
Also, Cingular loves Motorola

+ Korean brands (Samsung, LG, Pantech), so there's little room in their line-up for

or Nokia. Whenever

releases a new phone, even one tailored for the US (850 and 1900 MHz + EDGE, for example), it's a slim chance Cingular will carry it. For example, how old is the K790a? And yet, no service provider here has it. Which also keeps the price high on SIM-free units ($500 direct from

, $350 from the cheapest reputable 3rd-party vendor), further hampering

acceptance in this market

Sorry to take this thread further off-topic, but...
Was the K790a really that good? How are the keys? Too hard? How is the lens cover? Is it as floppy as some have said? I know it's a big phone, but how does it feel in your hand, or up against your ear?
Anyway, glad someone picked it up. Hopefully this means the unlocked, unbranded ones will come down in price.
Or, I just wait for a K810"a"
Now, back on-topic

Hi prometheus.
You should try the service center first. If it doesnt work, try what Aremaboy suggested.

I think an upgrade is different from a full flash, as fully flashing a phone is like reinstalling the whole firmware. While an upgrade is only overwriting the old firmware with the new one. Think of the "Fully Flashing" as a fresh installation.
can I get do a full flash myself, using far manager or Phone xs?
