funks,
Why don't you try my way to down grade the FW into R2E006, then do the upgrade R5D007 because my two T68m > T68i have the same problem with low standby but they are working OK with this method.

I tried the R2E006 from Sevenfire's site which seems to have chinese and my phone had the same standby problem.. Do you guys know where R2E006 EU can be download from?
G
funks,
R2E006 did came with Simplify Chinese & English but I used this to recover the Standby Time. You need to make sure that you turn off both BT and IR when you downgrade and upgrade.
Maybe you should also disable GPRS when downgrade and upgrade (Menu > Connect > Data Comm > Pref. service > GSM only) because if the GPRS is enable and connected, you will see the Standby Time drops to around 55 hours.
Hope the above will help.

I downgraded using the above (made sure bluetooth was off along with ir).. When the R2E006 was done flashing and the phone was restarted, it still only shows 50 hours on Standby..
GPRS shouldn't be enabled and connected as I just did a master reset before hand..
Oh well.

I'm using a R2E firmware, didn't experience much bugs from this although I've noticed that the battery life is not that long. I need to charge every 2 days.
I'll try turning off the GPRS from the DATA PREFS just now. I read about it. Will try it to see if this solves my problem.

T300 with T-Mobile do allow you to add WAP Profile and DATA Account, therefore, you could just leave the default setting and create new setting for other access.

I just wanna say a big THANK YOU to everyone in this thread for the info, in particular WaikinCheng (if you are still around) for starting this thread and also Funks for continuing it. Also thanks to Funks for both the FW file itself and the VERY helpful and easy to understand instructions he has on his pocket buddy site
I have just successfully backed and flashed my T68i from R5C001 EU to R5D007 EU all for the very cheap sum of $8 USD (courtesy of Adam Roth aka LVWireless with his EricsClient server). AND my bluetooth is still fully functional!! Thank you all once again
Now that I know how easy it is to do I wouldn't mind getting hold of R6A012 the EU version

@sking1547
The reason you cannot delete them is because they are a part of the software customization that T-Mobile added. You need to wait until there is a firmware release for the t300 you like and apply it... this will essentially erase your current software (which T-Mobile added).
Ps. It will also get rid of all T-Mobile branded stuff from your phone such as the T-Zones icon, splash screen and other stuff you can't modify.
