excellent video and results.

just goes to show that sony camera is made for professionals and people with an understanding of manual mode.


shame that review sites don't also compare pure manual mode on all cameras with same settings (as much as possible). I SHALL DO IT. now i just need the capital to buy flagship phones to compare

Eye AF looks better than nikon z6.

I'd like to see many phones at different situations.
From base iso to max value.
Xperia have always had strong performance at higher iso.
Galaxy and LG are the worse.

They could do favor and enable at least 5s for XZ2P with android 10.
Dual cam + iso400 + few seconds should be great.

22:9 display?

This makes sense if they're gonna use a punch hole. As long as they keep the 21:9 part uninterrupted it's fine but still no to that chin.

Edit: the mockup has only 21:9

This 22:9 comes from caybule, not related to the patent sketches but they used it to show how it'd work. I wrote that the sketch had 21:9.

They could use a hole with or without this exact design. It's still possible whether the patent shows it or not.

It is stupid to make an extra 1:9 instead of current bezel.
You have annoying hole that cant be hidden while using apps.

You are using cinema pro, then a black hole on the side.
Ugly and distracting.
Meizu 16s has a 1/2.8" selfie (bigger cam than note 10+) , no hole nor notch.

Hole and notch make phone look cheaper.

Maybe 3 mid for CES, 2 flags for MWC, 1 flag for IFA and then a 765G coming out without announcement for Japan in H2.
While ago someone posted similar rumor of 3 flags.
There is rumor of 0, 1.1, 5.1 and 3.
Older rumor of three 865 .....

Demand for sensors is so high that even working 24h/day and new factory on the way may not be enough for sony to deliver all orders.

After all, looks like X1 M2 won't have significant changes except bigger rear cameras and tof.

Front will probably stay identical, no face id maybe more mp front cam.

Sd865 and 5g more storage and ram are standard for 2020 flagships. Thickness and battery increase is mainly the result of that.

So except for the best camera on an Xperia, there won't be much to be excited about.

If it's real, looks like Xperia 0 will be where big guns will be pulled.

Sony is pretty tight lipped this time tho. But if there's not a surprise that's what I expect the X1 M2 to be.

Very few leaks for midrange. Maybe we won't see them at CES. I think invites are out but not sent to mobile focused media. https://www.techradar.com/news/ces-2020
