Well I had my X1 for over 2 weeks and I am utterly impressed, I got touchflo 3d working flawless no glitches, and the keyboard is brillant, I can type like lightning on the thing and when i look at the long paragraphs not one mistake hehehe, I am still getting the next gen mid 2009 but will keep the X1 till then, its a beauty, and one thing I love on it I can watch my videos with a2dp and the videos dont judder just run smoothly, which was my concern b4 purchasing this, A+ the build is pure quality, Whybe you was correct, even the small light on the power button ( I bet nobody noticed that lol) leave usb plug in and take battery out =battery fail light
only thing to get now is the invisibleshield for it,

as for me, I want/like phone that feel like a phone. When I hold it, it feels like ordinary phone, but it is a powerhorse and you can do everything with it.
I like a small formfactor so that I won't feel that I'm carrying a scientific calculator in my pocket.
Try SE G900

I'm still not convinced there will be an X1a because...
The current X1 is X1 and not X1i
The X1 is shown on the
US and
Australian SE product pages as X1
The X1 has 850/1900 mhz frequencies available to choose
I've read a few reports that these frequencies work fine
hence, no real need for an X1a
I've noticed that too! However there are few ppl in the USA having X1's and not getting 850Mhz 3G connections in states like NY where 850Mhz is exclusively used. I'm wondering if the ROM its set to 850Mhz and yet the hardware isn't capable of it??

To sync with Lotus Notes, I highly recommend Commontime mNotes. There is a 30-day free trial available at
http://www.commontime.com.
One word of advice - read the installation instructions carefully, and follow it exactly.
I'm using mNotes Desktop right now and it is very smooth and seamless.
Interesting. You may be the odd man out on this particular situation. I've noticed you mentioned desktop sync - so I'm guessing your work uses RSA HardToken Code for iNotes, right?

This is probably going to be a really stupid question, but when you plug the wall charger into the phone, is it supposed to charge automatically? Because when I plug it in, nothing happens. I've either missed something REALLY simple, or I have a faulty charger, because I can charge the phone fine through the computer......

it will charge automatically. you should see the LED blinking (a mix colour) to indicate that it is charging.

Good to see SE seem to have gotten this one mostly right. How's the video/multimedia performance on the X1? I had a Tytn II previously and it was, famously, very poor for video or anything like that. Now I have an Iphone and it's a complete contrast - brilliant video and graphics, but with a little less of WM's general utility (although the Appstore makes up for a great deal of that). Anyway, I'm sure the X1 is a big improvement on the old Tytn II, but is up to or exceeding Iphone levels for video and gaming?

Thanks Humble, Very reasuring.
I'm waiting for the X1a announcement and/or AT&T carrier before making my final decision of which version I'll have.
I never doubt about getting this phone because my logic is: If it works well for someone that means the people complaining are doing something wrong.
