Damn bro, you're really getting the short end of the stick these days, Brix. I don't blame you one bit for growing agitated with the network.
@Francois, thanx for the link to hellopeter, it's a brilliant site!

@ Kryptic, it is a good site, and I did complain about Vodacom on it once...But checked back and I couldn't find the complaint....But I am sure the blame was mine....must have clicked the wrong button.
@ computer nerds, go check out
http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com for really funny comics...usually relevant to new games or upcoming games.

@francoislr: I haven't done this myself but I would think Davinci or the SEUS would be your first port of call when wanting to change your firmware.
I visited the hellopeter site and posted my comments about Vodacom and their piss poor excuse for service. I don't know what they do with all their billions, doesn't seem like they're investing in customer relationship management.

@ brix, have considered that, in fact, I tried SEUS but no luck....it did not work at all. DaVinci is a pay update method. The problems I have with my phone is not my responsibility, and SE should take care of it. That way it also does not void my warranty.

It seems it's finally becoming easier to find a P990i than any weapons of mass destruction...
(Saw this pic on the P990i thread):

Hey RicK700i,
Welcome back to the thread! Gee, must be well over a year since you last posted in this thread...anywayz, hope you'll be contributing to this thread again.
The N80 is indeed a little powerhouse and is selling well here, but I'm not sure why Nokia didn't bother including autofocus on that 3mp cam...it seems to have just about everything else.
Nokia then go and put autofocus on the N73, but then leave wi-fi off!It must be all bloody marketing strategies to spread and diversify the range of phones and features, surely...
Only the bulky N93 seems to have all the current 'must have' features,(including optical zoom)..it's just started shipping.
Oh well, it all depends what one wants from a phone, I guess.

@da wanqsta: Yep, it seems like the long wait for the P990i is finally over, especially for those in Europe. Even celltech, who used to post here, is beta testing it for MTN.
Back to my issues with Vodacom, after another angry phone call this morning I finally gave up on them...got a call back from a Vodacom consultant about 10 minutes ago after posting on the helopeter.com website yesterday but he could not solve my problem so now I'm stuck without the ability to make calls/send sms or browse the internet.
