@bradboy: I would not bother with streaming sites at the mo, except for what's on offer through VLive...The BBC's wapsite offers streaming but I've not been able to connect to it.
I see Game are selling the V600i for R1499 sans starterpack.

Not the best day's cricket for SA supporters... was hoping that they would do a whole lot better than the national rugby or soccer teams of late, but at the end of day 1 of this test match, they haven't bucked this negative trend yet...
Hopefully they can somehow swing things round over the next 3 or 4 days, but I ain't gonna hold my breath for this one.
Carphone Warehouse in the UK are having another clearance and have dropped the price of the 2mp Panasonic VS6 to only £59.95 (approx R800)when bought with £10 airtime.
They've also dropped the price of the limited edition chrome D600 to £169.95 (approx R2200) when bought with a tenner's airtime as well.
Both are unlocked PAYG with no branding whatsoever.

@786KBR: All my suspicions of YOU magazine have just been confirmed, they are a bunch of reactionaries.
Personally I don't use MXit but a lot of teens do, according to my 17 year-old brother the kids at his high school are totally crazy this app. Why would adullts want to interfere and block their children from using MXit? The last time I checked MXit did not encourage users to post their cellphone numbers in the chat rooms.

I think i mentioned this once here, there's nothing wrong with Mxit per se. I'm certain that if AgileMobile or one of the other IM apps proved to be as popular somebody would find something wrong with that particular app as well.
The fact of the matter is that the parents of schoolgoing children, by and large, are a lazy bunch of tossers imho. They're more than content to sit back and do the bare minimum wrt to their children's education, since it's easier to pass that duty on to others.
By the same token, they expect others to solve their Mxit gripes too. If they don't want their kids using Mxit, why permit them to own a wap-enabled phone? There's the FireFly alternative, or even the plain-jane 3310 and its contemporaries which are still abundantly available. I participated in a debate on this subject fairly recently, and was amused when parents couldn't furnish a better reason for a child owning a wap-enabled phone than "my child will feel left out if he/she doesn't have one of the latest phones". Yet these parents expect Clockspeed to somehow police Mxit so that their kids aren't preyed upon by those of criminal or perverted intent. The choice is blatantly obvious- either give tacit approval to your child using Mxit, since you seem to have no control over what's on his/her phone, or get the child a "safe" phone, aka a non-wap relic. Their outbursts of righteous indignation had me in stitches! They truly want their bread buttered on both sides, even the crusts, it would appear.
It's all about upbringing, gentlemen...

Very well put, O Kryptik One.
I can well imagine the debate scenario; must have been a scream.
I've spent most of my evening unintentionally getting goofed using paint stripper, trying to remove layers of old enamel paint from the central heating radiator in the second bedroom. What an absolute bugger to prep for a few new coats of paint. I had various abrasive drill attachments, scrapers, chisels etc. and with all this in the DIY armoury it still took a good few hours.
Finally got round to seeing the Pirates Of The Caribbean sequel last night.
I dig and appreciate the attention to detail re the film's mutated-looking, Mad Max-esque rendition of The Flying Dutchman ie. Davy Jones's ship.

I must agree on the mxit arguement. parents dont take responsibility for their childrens lives. always shifting the blame. stupid people(kids) will be stupid people. i use mxit and its a great way to keep contact locally and internationally. the parents who complain are the same parents who buy their kids tvs for their rooms which gives them access to porn. mxit has warnings. nuff said.
