Hey AYA good to see you online again...really missed your presence at PNF.
Pop in and say "howzit" to all the South Africans at the SAMD
@coola: I used an L6 last night and honestly it's a garbage phone: bad screen, Moto's notorious bad UI and even a worse wap browser which is not helped by worst implimentation of T9 I've seen on a phone.

The only phone i'm considering amongst the moto brands is the Rokr E2. I'll probably choose between Rokr E2 or Nokia 5500. Any views about the 2 phones would be appreciated.
Can the S55 or t68i be used as bluetooth GPRS modem?

Both of 'em can be used as modems via BlueTooth, Infrared or cable.
@brix: Nice to know I was missed!

I'll be over at the SA thread in a jiffy.

@All: I have reliable information that Glo will launch its 3G service shortly. The service is currently being test run and most glomobile staff with 3G handsets are already making video calls. Another first for Glo.
Reactions please!!

Is there not going to be licence fees for 3G in Nigeria?
I'm aware that Vmobile is also testing 3G on their network in Lagos, Port Harhourt and Abuja.
Vmobile trials 3G in Nigeria

Vmobile beat them to it (at least the public announcement!). i'll just set my E61 to dual mode i.e. GSM/UMTS and see if I can pick up a 3G signal

PNF has gone back to its roots and the GSM dialogue is on!!!!!!!!
Was wondering when we would stop chatting about 3rd term, world cup, feul scarcity!!!!!
@AYA (aka the unknown soldier): nice to see you around. on checking coola's link T610 beat your S55 hands down in all categories (accept thickness)!!!!! the colour range kills the S55. And comparing it with the T68i, the T68i uses WAP 2.0 unlike the S55's Wap1.2.1!!!!!it doesnt seem to have CSD either!!!
Try again to look for another phone but SE is still the one to beat!!!!!
@coola: cant remember the last time i looked at a paper!! always chek them online. I used to be good at word games. I'll check it up!!!

I think the networks are getting ahead of themselves... the NCC is yet to decide on who gets a 3G license. But it will be really cool to join in their "tests" too... unfortunately... my connections in V is the weakest. If na Glo or MTN... I could pull some strings....
Another problem: who will u test it with?????

@abubakar: contrary to the details posted there, the s55's browser is both 1.2.1 and 2.0. You can do a search on the net for that. As for comparing it with the t610, find out what the t610 costs - they aren't in the same league.
saw news of Glo's 3G network in The Punch. I am primarilly concerned with cost when thinking 3G. GPRS is expensive enough as it is.
