I have no idea if those 8K tvs are for sale already and if they are 10 or 12bit.
There are will be many of them at CES... Oled, Quantum LED and Crystal LED.
I have no idea what quality things are recorded in Japan.
At least LG is not stuck with 8bit 60Hz like Samsung screens....

I believe NHK has an 8K channel in Japan, but not sure if there others. At this point, I feel 8K TVs are not what firms need to be introducing when even 4K content is not that widespread yet.
Samsung has an 8K TV for sale, so like you said, more companies will showcase their 8K units at CES no doubt but I still feel 4K has a long way to go before it becomes the norm, let alone 8K.
Anyways, curious what Sony will bring to the show, I know of a new pair of XB wireless headphones but have little info on anything else unfortunately.

It's a smart way to differentiate themselves, with a cinematic 21:9 screen. Notches and holes are disappointing, it's a pity it's becoming standardised.

8K TVs, 8K videocameras, 8K video + 16bit raw pics mirrorless, 5G Xperia and maybe PS5 ...

Yes. It seems not crazy. BUT, where u can find a consumer level panel that capable 12-bit HDR. Even now many affordable monitor aren't REAL 10-bit HDR. And where are the contents? Who are going to produce 12-bit HDR streaming contents?
There aren't even televisions with 12 bits panels.
Thats where the image processors come in handy. They replicate 12 bits and the best in town is Sony X1 Ultimate.

I still believe the hyped phone with 21:9 is not XZ4 or Sony's new flagship bcz of
1) lacks stereo speaker's and curved screen of XZ3!!
2) lack some rear camera sensor

21:9 ratio is great but it also needs a smaller version..
Remember another 21:9 6.5" ph leaks way back with dual camera setup in the name of XA3 ultra..
So my guess this is a new series..Focus on entertainment factors.. gaint big screen, 21:9 , gaming controller on screen(if leak are true)
Most likely upper mid range lineup like galaxy A series..
It's my guess just..
Actually sony flagship will arrive at MWC with a 4g version and A dedicated 5g one(Probably with 4K OLED)😊 AND RELEASE in mid year!!(Zackbucks info wise).. Zackbuks also says new naming scheme is coming...Let's see what happens.
Also I think this year sony mobile may skip IFA..😊😊
