I can not update my firmware via the update service. It keeps sayin

"Your device is not permitted to use this service

Your operator does not approve the usage of this service for this device.
We look forward to assist you again soon.
Thank you for using Sony Ericsson Update Service!"

Can someone help?

Using: R2L001

@GEORGIA REBEL

I read somewhere on this thread that someone had updated their firmware even though it was locked on T-Mobile. I am also on T-Mobile (UK).

@Georgia Rebel and hotrodbx

I've an unbranded K700i, I get the same message "Your operator does not approve the usage of this service for this device.
We look forward to assist you again soon." when I try to use the updatre service. I'm from Italy and my operator is Wind. I've already used the update service with success updating my original firmware to R2L. I hope this message was an error due to an update of Sony Ericsson update service and will fix soon

The same thing here! I've updated my unbranded phone, a month ago, at SEUS but I can't do that now. I don't know, why. I hoe SE will fix this problem.

If someone find out something, please let us know.

Same here in the UK. I can not update my firmware via the update service. It keeps sayin

"Your device is not permitted to use this service
Your operator does not approve the usage of this service for this device.....etc

I have updated my unbranded handset previously with the update service to R2L001 without problems

Has anyone any suggestion or is it likely to be a SE glitch for the short term?

Thanks
