Anyone know if this is running on OMAP 3rd series chipsets? Before all these announcments everyone was on about how all these new UIQ phones will be running on new OMAP chipsets but now that its close to announcment time no one seems to want to talk about it? Was that all just nonsense spec talk again?

@Bav: No one knows, or if they do, they're not telling. I think there's no sense arguing or even thinking about specs until the thing is announced or someone like Mizzle/m-one/ares finds out and decided to tell everyone. I've reasoned out specs logically and I stand by those predictions, but any more and I'll go cross-eyed.
So OMAP 3rd series? Possibly.

Or probably.

Well...
I had a look in Paris' firmware some months ago and found the name of the GPS unit used in Paris, did a Google search and found out that it is optimized to work with OMAP 3xxx.

Good enough for me.
What are some of the other technologies optimized for OMAP 3xxx? My guess is quadband GSM/EDGE, triband HSDPA, and VGA screens are all supported.
Wait! I forgot, I'm not thinking about specs....not thinking about specs...not think--ah, screw it.

If it does have OMAP 3rd series then that will mean much better audio quality than any of their current phones as the chip should have a DSP built in. Fingers crossed anyway.

It has to feature HSDPA and HSUPA as well. The firmware contains strings like;
- HSDPA_Active
- HSDPA Capability %s...enabled.disabled....%s
- HSDPA not supported..%s
- Failed to store HSDPA Capability (ErrorCode %d)...
- %sStored HSDPA Capability...%s
- HSUPA Capability %s
- Stored HSUPA Capability
- HSDPA stopped during activation - not supported - trying to survive.CM_CFG: Illegal state %d.....\\cxc000000_BRIDGE_CCPU_ACC_B25_YLVA\\IAR-ARM\\inc\\cm_cfg.c
- HSDPA activation delayed....Starting new HSDPA config in DSP....Stopping current HSDPA config in DSP....
That's proof, isn't it?
