well just a thought...lpachoung's last driver A4A 7.9 should be called anger 4 all rather than all 4 all....

One question:
In this 7.9 Version i'm not finding driver for CID36(W800i)..
But Guide.txt says there are 3 drivers in the rar file.
Can u upload it for us(W800i Users..)..?

can you please make small test for me? i want to close compression topic once for ever in 6.5

1. download original sarmad 5.8 driver
2. upload to phone
3. find scene on which snapshot in (~100%) cases = camera crash
4. find scenes on which snapshot in (~50%) cases = camera crash
5. try 10-20 attempts to every scene (count good/crashed pictures)
6. replace in code only one thing: cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_8=927C0; to 96650
7. upload to phone
8. repeat point 5 on scenes from point 3 and 4

report me results, opinions, etc.

Well, I don´t think, that the difference between vf and taken picture is because of compression because vf with filtering on seems to be the same as taken picture. And picture on vf cannot be compressed. I tried to make a video with filtering off and sharp edges are visible everywhere! And 3gp compression is very high. So the true bill be somewhere else.
I think that filtering on or off must be visible much more on pictures.

I don't know what are you talking abot. A4A sharpness is good

Distance 3.5 m, focus to infinity, all auto

Sarmad 5.8


Strong Mix 1.1


A4A 7.9


A4A 8.0 (compression like as in 7.9) - sharp, but more yellowish then 7.9


All pics are cropped from original without any change

believe or not but it's compression filtering is working fine because i've posted proof (2 cropped images). answer for your observation is somewhere else, you must pay attention on resolutions:

- picture (1632x1224)
- video (176x144)

if you look into code of macro CORRECTION_SET you can find:

$z0 $c0 08 ...

it's

$get_current_image_buffer_size $if_size_is_1632x1224_then ...

as you can see i didn't disabled filtering (neither SPU which one discovered filtering register) for 640x480, 160x120 and video. the reason is simple...

640x480



on low resolutions unfiltered edges are totally distorted

No crash in my phone before and after change the bufer
shots in ful green
k750@w800 r1bc002

EDIT: I added in my supermodmix v1.2 beta the jpeg compress and quality(min max) in enchanced mode from sarmad 5.8 and bufer 96650 my phone works well
no crash after many shots green, night ,full light

EDIT2: why increase bufer size seems to get more quality?
I think must exisst safe border in this case.
