Hey I have never been able to get SE Disc to Phone software to work even when I had my P910i.

Anybody knows what I could do to fix it. It just always says connect phone via USB or insert Memory stick.

With Disk2Phone I encountered the same thing.Didnt bother experimenting to solve issue because I can still transfer my music via P990 filemanager but curious.Anyone encountered that problem and solved it?

Hi,

I am trying to use my CDMA phone as a modem that my P990i can use to access the internet. And I want the P990 connection to by bluetooth.

But where i have to entering number to dial in the connection ?

Any idea anybody?

Thx

You first have to find the CID number for your internet connection (GPRS).
The CID determines what number to use in *99***1# (This would be CID=1). The easiest way is of course to use the mobile networking wizard, but if you are having problems with it just use Windows XP and add a new network connection using P990 Bluetooth modem.

Where can the CID number be found?

The easiest way is just try starting with "1". When you have the right number corresponding to your GPRS internet connection you will be able to connect to the internet, others will not.

I wanted to ask a question regarding the P990, had one when they first came out aftre having used a P800 and P900. Howver the P990 was less of a pleasure as I suffered lockups, restarts , memory errors etc so I sold the phone and switched to a Nokia E61.

I am very happy with the E61, except I miss the camera. Had a look around and I cant find any phone that is good with email, Satnav etc and a camera except for the P990.

Is the P990 now more 'sorted' ?

Have SE resolved the software issued to make the phone stable ?

Any advice would be helpful as I am pondering switching back to Sony just for the camera, as I cant find any other phone that suits my needs..

Also is it possiblie to use a P990 in pass through mode like on the E61, this allows you to pretend your laptop is your phone, and avoids browinf charges for web etc..

it came down to cost the P990i is cheaper then the w950
