Somebody said something about the Berlin event being for showing off the phones but not the actual announcement. The announcement being earlier. Did I actually read that or was I dreaming? And SE usually goes for 10:00am GMT or BST right?

Well, it is a global announcement so i don't think so. what would the big idea of that be? announce them at one place of the earth and test them at another?
nah, not always. W950 was announced at a afterparty.

This year SE has been able to control the product leaks to some extent.Still no picture of maria,mooi ,the 5th phone and 3 watches...most people still don't know the final looks of sofia.
And and some who claim to have the phone still don't dare to post any photo or give out much info after we saw an unfortunate W200 leaker get sacked.
Since i joined Esato,i have been here online while most phones post K700 were being launched.This year,since nobody knows or have seen pictures of upcoming phones,i feel the excitement in everyone.
Congrats to SE for checking the product leaks.
PS: SE,please fix my phone's memory leaks.

Didn't see this thread had been unlocked so I'll ask here - Any news of a non-3G K850 counterpart with only the 5MP camera? Like K800 had the K790.

Yeah, there is an K858c (GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900)
Although the K850i had edge also but lets try and stay on topic.
