well where i live none o the operators offer any phones wid dere plans....and its mostly pay as u go so im gonna have to buy an unbranded one anywayz but wat concerns me is the low volume which was mentioned i think two posts above me
wat does everyone else say about it

I would definitely get rid of the branding - the phone is crippled with it.... Particularly Orange's awful nasty software. The looks better without it. But the main benefit is you can upgrade firmware whenever you wish (although with R6 that's probably not such an advantage - I stayed with R5 and am getting on just fine.) Just make sure you get Swiss Manager Pro....

does anyone know if the p990 supports animated wallpaper?
i realize this is a stupid question but i can't seem to get any of the animated gif files to be set as wallpaper. it just shows up as a still image. in either FO or FC.

Need help with my P990 phone the jog dial does not work anymore instead of making a click it does not do that and now i cant put the stylus back inside, it seems like some of the parts came loose, i never had a problematic phone than this one, i had owned a P800 i accidenatally run over a forklift, two P900 one i killed cause i drop it as i was getting out of the car and a P910, can i open this phone and fix it or do i need to send it out.

According to the specifications on the SE site, the P990 should support animated wallpapers per

Just another bug on the long list of P990 bugs no doubt.
