All sexual innuendos aside, something that confuses me in the Voda/Telkom debacle is that even though telkom have a partnership with vodacom, vodacom's overseas call rates exceed all of the other providers.

That makes little sense.

Thats my 2c.

@Brix, CliveyBoy was carrying on about Afrikaans needing to die a quiet death because it's dying out in our education system. He caught some major flak over that gaffe...

@ mario2002, nice pic...

So, the whole motivational thing, it usually strikes the wrong chord with me...maybe I am a born pessimist, or I just appreciate people who are realistic...which totally goes against the mindset of all these motivational speakers. I tend to thrive on negative in a weird sense: let me explain a little: depressing music inspires me to make good music...so it is not in a negative way...I get inspired in a good way by it. Same with screwed up situations: there is space for change, so it inspires me.

The whole thing with motiv speakers is they resemble marketers, who in turn tends towards schemes, which makes me wanna *sing song* puke, yeah, puke, yeah....*okay, stop the singing here*

@kryptic:

I've never been a fan of Nietzsche myself. I myself don't believe that a life lived dangerously is best in terms of enjoyment and fruitfulness. I'm way too creative for that. Instead i believe that living a life along a path untrodden is best.

I don't think one can say "don't make a mistake". But rather, make sure the mistakes you make are yours. New, fresh and without intention. That is how we learn and teach others.

If we do not live life this way, we can teach nothing of our own to our children. For everything we say will be an echo of that which our parents told us.

(all that from a sig)

Thats my random thought for today.

@mario2002: Brilliant pic...seeing that you're a keen paraglider I take it you've been to Porterville. Nice place for paragliding.

I promised myself that I would be getting on a kayak this year and paddling on the Atlantic but a host of factors have forced me to shelve any ambitions- at least for this year.

It's so thin here and light it won't pick up on the camera. But i'm only about 60km or so away from jhb so we should get it harder later.
