is android cheaper to put in a phone vs. the windows mobile in the x2? I would hope the x3 would be quite a bit cheaper than the x2 because of fewer parts.
AFAIK, Android is free. I think WM is $10/phone.
The X3 has a snapdragon processor. I bet its as expensive as the X2.

Grimey.
Somehow I don't think we will be waiting months and months between announcement and shipping date. Announced in November and available for MWC in Feb would be OK I guess.
According to a certain someone

there will be other stuff SE will be showing off at MWC.

Why put a 4inch screen on a phone

!!!!! 3.5 inch should be the limit, it should be the law.

He may have said release but a lot of people don't understand the difference between announcement and release. I've seen many mistakes between the two on his blog (no offense Maximys, I think it's a language thing).

This is likely my next phone. I'm 95% sure I'm getting this but if it doesn't have that processor then I DON'T WANT IT!
An OMAP3 or a Tegra would be just as good. Let's hope it has plenty of RAM and on-board memory.
Does anyone know if Android allows apps to be installed in the memcard now? From what I remember, this wasn't possible in the first version of the OS.
Can Android run on an ARM Cortex A8/A9 cpu? or an OMAP for that matter? I've noticed ALL Android devices are using Qualcomm's chips.

Android can run on any ARM based SoC as long as the manufacturer sits down and writes drivers for it.

I thought Snapdragon's scorpion is a Cortex A8 CPU

and yes android supports all ARM platforms that works on WM and WebOS which is simply another linux distro for mobile like android. and WebOS uses 3430 platform - so Android supports Cortex A8 CPUs
