And i agree with other people about the stylus its horrible!

Don't like the greasy fingerprints on the buttons!
Guess I'll just have to stick my

lens cleaning cloth in my pocket at all times

can you imagine that guy doesn't have one, but TWO W960's !!! and we're all craving to just get our fingers on it (not literally, though, or it'll turn into a nasty smudge, considering the screen!)...
All those people on the French forum seem to be mentioning mid-November as a more or less sure release date. But there's been so many rumours already, i don't believe any of them anymore

YES... been waiting for 'planete-nokia' to finally get shots up of W960... esp. since they have most other new SE models, so I figure this makes it one step closer to release if they are obtaining potential review units.
thoughts:
-new keypad looks great, improved. more distinct separation between keys seems smarter, beveled edges like K800 further improve tactile feel between keys. Backlighting looks more consistent and even.
on that note:
-no good shots of music keys lit up. I am still wondering if their functionality has been re-worked at all, as to when they are active (ie, at ALL times while music is playing, not just in Now Playing screen or when walkman widget is HIGHLIGHTED on standby screen). Also want to see if backlighting is stronger on them... they always looked weak. The one pic showing them makes them look like sh!tty incandescent lightbulbs.
-subtle UI change on the standby screen, with the addition of those two mystery buttons. One is obviously 'show bottom row of 4 shortcuts', but what's the other? shortcut to show 15? I think not, it'd make more sense to have one button toggle between the 4 and 15 icons. Like the arrow does in P1...
Does it link to the main 3x3 menu? It looks like a colorless version of the blue/red four circles on M600/P1 that goes to main menu... Redundant because of the 'Menu' softkey on the bottom though...
Curious about this!
-WALKMAN visualizations:
-breeze
-bubble
-sparkling
-underwater
-volcano (this is the one we've all seen)
[disclaimer: i dont speak french, but he does:
" target="_blank" rel="nofollow]http://dictionary.reverso.net/english-french/petillement]
-black plastic stylus looks like ass -- id much prefer the smoky clear one the prototypes had
how can i get to do hardware quality control for Sony Ericsson?
**edit:
one more thing, on the previous page, rosco made a comment about the screen's contrast ratio. while I don't feel contrast ratio (whitest whites and blackest blacks) are neccessarily a problem on this MOBILE device, I do think brightness could be improved, only because it appears the display is fighting against the GLARE produced by a glossy hard-topped screen. Although I'm thinking also that maybe the brightness level on these devices is turned down to default (isn't P1 by default set around 60%???)

That frenchman has ALWAYS got great photos in his SE Reviews or Nokia Review.
Just remember that that is from a Nokia fan-predominant site.

This W960 looks like a serious quality product. Main phone and smartphone all in one. This could be what I'm looking for .... YES I STILL LOVE SE design.
Its just the specs that I'd likely use are missing.
* 3MP cam phone that cannot do qvga @30fps (when a Moto Q9h can with a 2MP cam - video hardware at work no doubt).
* No 850Mhz GSM/GPRS band but I guess I can live without it as I'm usually within the city.
* NO EDGE?! Gads is WiFi all I'm limited too?
I'm still tempted.
However teh W910's screen is the same size, hmm.

I dont think the screen of the w910 and the w960 have the same size
(w910 got 2.4" and w960 2.6")
