Well it depends to what you compare it to. If you compare it to a normal phone, it can be described as slow. If you compare it to other smartphones or the previous UIQ 3, it's normal and you could even argue that it's a tad faster (compared with M600 and P990).

Because of the extra large memory, the P1i can keep a considerable number of programs running in the background. This has the effect of making it noticable faster than the P990 when switching from program to program. Once in a program the speed is the same as theP990.

The standby / shortcut screen also works a lot quicker than the P990 equivalent.

This all gives the impression that the P1i is working a lot faster.

Yep, it looks fast when com[ared to the P990, we agree.
Now compare it to a K750 and you might get frustrated having to wait a few seconds (2-3) to open the SMS ou just received.

It's not much of a problem for me though I have a few seconds to spare during my day anyway so I can afford waiting a bit.

I'm using mine with a GPS and TomTom, I have a Holox BT321.

I'm very pleased with the way it runs, coming from a Nokia N80. The screen size makes navigation a lot better. The touch screen is so much smarter to use, when compared to the S60v3 joy pad based interface. It also seems to run smoother with the POI's enabled, although not as smooth as I would like.

Thanks remirez and jejoma. It helps to ask those who own the phone or have experience with smartphone. I tried the P910 for a month long time ago but I found it bulky and expensive beside I didnt see much applications available at the time.

I just transferred a .pdf-file to my P1, but can't find it in any folders. Anyone know where the file could be on the phone?

It says it's in the "/" folder, but where do I find this one? I Have stored it in the phone memory.

Thanks for the help
