The K850i successor was already in development when the K850i was announced and considering the K850i was delayed, it shouldn't be too long before the next one comes along. Hopefully.

So no crappy rehoused k850 is going to see the day. (maybe a thing like K800->K770, BUT NOT LIKE K800->K810)
And it is probably going to be UIQ because of this: (an ad i found in sweden's largest newspaper for engineers)
Three times optical zoom is rumored but not confirmed (would be stupid to not include it) And wlan is also a thing a phone that is going to be one of sonyericsson's flagship phones next year must have..
Edit: If somone want to read the whole ad:

It’s easy to conclude they are preparing to grow rapidly and that during next year, we could expect to see new devices and UIQ 3.2 SDK released. Plus, there’s a UIQ 4.0 in the pipeline…
While they will always be working on the new version of the platform and the SDK, new devices will keep running the “old” code in the time when new SDK is released. Or to put it in other words - UIQ SDK 3.1 is a viable tool and will stay so for some time!
so no P5i or other VGA-phones untill uiq 4 is released somewheare it middle 2008
Our readers from the U.S. would be glad to know that UIQ is planning to open “U.S. representation” to support Motorola’s efforts. This could easily translate into Z8 and other upcoming Motorola phones being released in the U.S
