The result is as expected since this is the same conclusions reached by many reviews.

K850 lost this battle fair and square (for daylight pictures). But remember the war is still on-going (i.e there will be the next gen of SE cybershot). I just don't understand why some diehard SE fanboys are such sore losers. Be a sport and stop ridiculing yourselves.

Did you look at the crops? Besides you seem to be the biggest nokia fan-boy there is. Who are you to be throwing stones at anyone? Probably have nokia pajamas you wear to bed at night.

Im not being a sore looser when I say that 'my' k850 takes better pictures then the ones ive seen in all the negative reviews so far. The pictures on the GSMarena test just look fake. I guess they reduced the picture quality on their k850 just to make it look bad. Obviously there will always be better phones released in the future by other companies. The N82 may be better then the k850, but it has also been in production for some extra time. The N95 maybe better features, but its still an ugly brick that I wouldnt want carry around.

As for the blurry pictures, I only get those when I move the camera while taking a pic. Hold it completely still and I get crystal clear pictures. And my flash didnt work and my pictures were always dark when my finger was blocking the flash. Of course my first reaction was 'OMG my camera doesnt work', but then I realised why.

I Agree with Eddie. Nowadays GSMArena has become partially Nokia supporting site. There are other Review sites and they are not complaining like it did. have you seen GSMArena Test Shots ? Nokia Fanboys knew that Only N95 can turn Pink Tiles to Brown tiles, Yellow Flower to Green Flower, worst Macro shot plus blurry crop. So this phone was easily identified. We should accept that Nokia Fnaboys are more in numbers than SE Loyal. So Nokia Fanboys tried to post as much as they can to support N95. Ok answer me one question. You know that Nokia is Number 1 one company and is 4th then still why there is always a fight between Nokia and ? Samsung, LG and Motorola are nowhere in this cold war. Why they feel insecurity with "se" ?

fans are the best fans because they are not fanboys they are Loyals. They can wait for the next release but they will never go for Nokia. No to Nokia.

As far as N82 is concerned, let me tell you if starts to degrade it's quality then it can also produce the same models in cheap price. Why N82 screen is not at par with N95 when both have 16M colors and Why K850i Cyber-shot phone screen is much vivid than Nonsense82 ? never use cheap components while Nokia use cheap raw material to equip the phone and to downgrade it's price. I know for Nokia FBs it's hard to accept but Truth is Bitter.

I love

Plank, why is that GSM Arena test stupid?

The N95 8GB CLEARLY outvoted the K850i, which what this thread is about - comparison between those 2 models.

This test was purely on image quality, so the test results show no bias as far as voting goes.

And guess what, the N95 images received 217 first place votes as opposed to 4 votes for the K850i images.

Nearly every phone i've owned is a SE but thats only cus they have had the phones ive wanted, so i dont care that the n95 has a better cam than the k850, i dont want or own either phone.

But i have to say, Plank, you are nice hilarious!!! The only reason i come to this thread is to see your replies. Comedy gold man...

i took a look at the comparison... and i think it is a little biased towards nokia..

as for the flash ... i doubt that the gsmarena test team know anything about sonyericsson xenon flashs. (flash pics with SE Cybershots are to be taken with twillight portrait mode to get the real result.. other than that the flash pics are worst than a led one)

N82 flash could be on par or a little brighter than the K850 BUT does NOT EAts it (as the gsmarena shows)

and a real comparison between 2 cameras should include at least 20 pics of all conditions with a true digicam setting the benchmarks.

i am saying this because i have seen far far better pics of the K850 than the photos posted by some comparisons.

after all Nokia N82 is a great camphone and it will sell good... looks like Nokia is recognizing their potential in cameraphones.

edit: just one thing.... how the hell G600 could beat K850... it IS impossible. thats a joke ..right?

I am not sure who deserve the best title but one thing for sure, Plankgatan deserve a fat bonus from SE for defending it without fail

Btw Plank, I wonder why you dont use the bluriness on nokia (due to the software compression) vs SE larger photo files (less compression) as your ammunition?

Why dont they include I-mobile 902? it will kill every possible sweet spots those phone could have won but excluding video rec.

anyway K850 may have lost there(GSMArena vox populi gimmick) but bear in mind that this doesn't define Cybershot as a whole. and still therr is one 5mp High-end CS phone other than K850. that's the SO905iCS which i bet possesses better sensor type and size as well as output image quality

I find these so called camera comparisons funny. Who takes these photos anyway? Are they professional photographers or just snap-happy gadget geeks? Even expensive DSLR cameras used by experts work better in favourable lighting conditions created by light diffusers and relectors, not to mention use of tripods, touch ups with photoshop etc, etc, and yet some here seem personally insulted if the range of camera phones available doesn't produce magazine quality photos from thier point-and-shoot efforts.

This picture here was ranked3rd yesterday on Esato's Gallery Toplist,

and this photo here was liked so much by the editor of NZ's MyMobile Magazine that they published it in the July 2007 issue with the caption IMPRESSIVE IMAGE!

Both photos were taken with my non A/F, no flash, 2.0Mp V630i and the second shot was taken with night mode accidently on! So why not spend more time reading the how-to articles in the camera magazines and less time flaming over second-rate camera comparisons, eh?
