@alinefx - nice pics. i think the XZP holds its own quite well against the pixel. details and color are on par if not better. I think DxO should score it very high. Btw your super slow mo vid link doesn't work. copy paste works, but the actual link does not.
@mckinley - damn! that sucks about your xz.. but glad you are joining the club!

Quick 72 hour update on my time with the XZ Premium.
It's quick, very quick. Makes the XZ feel slow and sluggish. I watched the Champions League final in 4K last night and I was just lost in that screen, the extra pixels don't really offer much difference to image quality as such but what you do get compared to other devices is crazy sense of depth to the image or video. As expected it just simply breezes through daily tasks without any lag at all. I haven't really had time to test the camera but i'm happy that it performs better than the XZ so far and is on par and if not better than some of its rivals. The Audio through my MDR-1000x headphones and some Hi-Res audio too is again taking things to another level. One other thing about the colour, I've got the deep sea black version and it's anything from black. Most of the time it looks dark blue sometimes green but never black. The phone looks stunning because of this and makes it a head turner too. Overall I'm over the moon with it and can see me keeping this for while rather than getting the next flagship it's that damn good!!

@XJ that sounds awesome. i wish i had a really nice pair of headsets to enjoy hi-res but the best headphones i have are the ones i got for free with the XZ haha. they aren't exactly top of the line. Tomorrow is the big day for me. I can't wait. It is definitely the fastest phone on the market in overall performance and that screen is going to be drool worthy. I did notice the thing about the color not being really black when I watched videos, but I guess that makes sense for something called "DEEP SEA" black? the blue/greens give that deep ocean water feel, which I think is very classy indeed. It's going to be all I think about tomorrow and I honestly don't think i'll be able to focus on anything else until I've got it in my hands and have set it up the way I like it.

@moogoo the next 24 hours will no doubt drag but believe me it'll be worth the wait. 😀

So unlike my LG 4K HDR TV, this phone has no indication when its playing HDR content. A typical android screen capture won't work due to DRM so i had to try and take a photo of HDR content playing with the Pixel.

@XJ oh it is... i am constantly refreshing the tracking page to see if it's moved but alas, it is still stuck in NY. I guess it's not scheduled to go out until late tonight or early tomorrow morning and make the 5 hour trip down here. sigh.
@alinefx - how does your LG indicate the HDR? What player are you using on your XZP? As far as I know from seeing vids/reading stuff (no real experience though), for online streams, you don't even see them as available unless your device supports it. But I agree, it would be nice if there was an indicate of 4K or HDR or whatever, when appropriate. BUt i think it has to do with the player or maybe a setting?

So, XZP owners - is there an option in the settings with regard to the display resolution like in the galaxy series or the screen is set at 1080p?
