MKBHD is going to check out the phone.. It's been so long since he was excited about a Sony phone.. He has a very big fan following.. Hope he likes the phone.. It would boost sales a lot if he likes it and suggests the phone.. Fingers crossed.
He is not. And that's for the better than to listen to his unbiased opinion in the sea of his sponsored videos where OnePlus takes the absolute cake.

demonstration of the wind filter. it's not 100% perfect but it's damn good. and definitely a nice perk when recording outside...
GSMA should be putting their review out soon. they just dumped a whole bunch of video samples on youtube...

Gsma bias:
- Display not as bright as key competitors, the 4K resolution has little practical benefit.
- Charging is slower than most.
- No 4K60 video recording in the native app.
- Selfie cam has limited DR, no AF and no 4K recording.
After 5 years they complain about 4K?

not really a bias
just pointing out what it lacks in comparison to majority of the competitors.
complaining about 4K is whatever. if you are not a creator or care about 4K content, you aren't gonna care.
charging is slower than most because sony cares about battery life and longevity. would have been nice if they had mentioned this.
no 4k60 on main camera app is a complaint but not really a disadvantage cause you can simply pull it up in CinemaPro.
Selfie cam is pretty shit. even the people who love the 1ii say it is shit. but this phone is not meant for the selfie/IG/FB crowd. It's meant for true creators.
overall, not a terrible review from GSMA. they updated the speaker test to include Dolby Atmos and it matches other phones now. they also gave it pretty high marks in the camera/video department and didn't complain about it like they have in the past with other sony flagships.
here's a video exploring the HS POWER CONTROL

They have never felt bothered by 4K, but complain now. Not even on Z5P.
They know you cannot record 4K with 8MP. If they say no
1080@60, that's okay. But 4K is ridiculous.
They know 65W will f*** the battery. But atill complain.
Considering that all CONS pointed for 1 were fixed, looks like they need to find lame excuses fo new cons.
So, for mark iii they will complain screen is flat and no 8K on front cam?
Person says it cant use 4K on youtube, when japanese videos clearly shows it can.
Creator Mode with delta above 6? Not even the screen of L series would give this number.
That is ridiculous.

I don't know what's more practical, a phone that can natively play its own 4k videos on its own display or an 8k capable cameraphone that can't be viewed on its own display

Haha this is funny. Anyway we heard of Samsung announcing they producing their own 4k mobile display till now not a single phone with 4k display announced from them.

The review is written in a style to be overly critical. If you read the S20 Ultra review they are far more forgiving. There are of course things that don't favour the Xperia like not having 120Hz at that high a price point but if you look at the more professional photography reviews, you see how highly rated the phone is. I understand the GSM Arena types of sites, they give you the consumer friendly advice which but even with the S20 Ultra they hardly utilised the camera.
