Well If one goes with the rumored specs and the few answers that has been given, Paris when compared with N96 does not really have anything that makes it better, it is more or less the same, other then the obvious touch screen minus 8gig internal memory and tv abilites.

But it may be that Paris has a omap 34XX? processor, but it would be a bit to much considering it may only have a QVGA screen, if it has a such a cpu then I think my worries with only a QVGA screen may be wrong, and that it has a VGA one.

m-one said on another site that the display of paris is larger than it seems to be on this picture so don't let yourself cozenage from it.

Great picture m-one! The device really has very good looks if you ask me and the quality definitely shows!
Btw, I think we can now say with certainty that the screen is 2.6" and with that size (and keeping in mind that SE want to boast UIQ) a QVGA resolution. Look at this comparison:

No way that it's going to be this big. If the screensize is 2.8", the phone would be huge. And in the photos released at this moment it looks pretty small. I also think the resolution will be QVGA (or maybe maybe maybe HVGA) to keep the phone compatible with current applications.

I'm hoping for HVGA (at the bare minimum) though I don't know if UIQ supports that resolution.

QVGA on a 2.6" screen wouldn't be bad. My N95 is 2.6"at QVGA and looks great. But that was then, and this is now.

HVGA or VGA--nothing less, SE, please.

If if it must be QVGA, stick 16 mil colors in it to offset it.

Can anyone tell me, why the d-pad on the m-one's photo is so shiny?

The first proto had VGA @ 2,8". Why should SE make a step backwards?
I've been told that paris will be 2,8" and have VGA resolution

And nice to see you again deuxani

Did a quick comparison myself, 2.6" would be about this.

m-one: Maybe there's something about the display res corresponding with the free space above the d-pad?
