I just updated my W800i to R1BC002 using SEUS after my R1N035 firmware killed my supplied 512MB Sandisk MS Pro Duo card.

You sure it killed it? SEUS corrupted a memory card on me once, but formatting the card fixed it.

I however got an unpleasant suprise in the form of the m4a tag bug.

I'm just wondering if this bug is still in the R1CA021 firmware, and if this firmware will appear on SEUS?

R1CA021 is K750 only - there is no W800 variant as yet (or if ever)

Also does anyone know if using the FAR manager + plugin to disable camera noise etc prevent you from flashing using SEUS? Can I just copy the original files back then flash using SEUS?

Will work fine.

@korbindallis, R1BC is the latest. R1BD has only the polish language as changes - everything else between R1BC and R1BD is identical.

No, it died bfore i used SEUS. There's another thread somewhere discussing this issue, it is either caused by a bug in the old firmware or a bad batch of 512MB cards got send out with the W800i phones. So I updated to the latest firmware just in case. The card isnt detected by the phone or a card reader so it cant be reformatted.

Oh damn... I guess I'll have to live without m4a tags then... Do you reckon theres a way to enable them on the new firmware using the FAR plugin?

no luck with far. You can however make playlists with this playlist manager and use FAR to install the playlist. It uses the artist/album/songname structure on the memory card so you can get by without m4a tags.

You can use itunes to create a list of music you want on the phone, export the playlist to an xml file, then import the playlist xml file into disc2phone's playlist. This way you can transfer itunes playlists to the phone with disc2phone. They will be copied using artist/album/songname as long as you tell itunes to organise the music folder.

Using the program from the link above you can then make individual playlist for the handset out of the itunes playlist just copied to the phone.

Tested a bunch of firmwares, only R1N allows camera to work in flight mode as well as walkman (others allow only one or the other) so I was trying it out to test the transfer bug and sure enough I got it, so I was bummed out thinking I'd have to ditch R1N, but then I did a master reset and the transfer bug seems to be gone (so far )

So anyway I may finally have both camera and walkman in flightmode, which finally makes the loss of activity menu worthwhile (and I'm kinda used to the W800 media player also)

Got bored waiting for O2 to release R1BC002 for the W800i, so this evening I manually patched the media player for the hiss/fizz bug and (it seems) the camera for the shutter delay bug using FAR etc. All seems well and very much happier!

Hi all - a little help please. I flashed my K750 to W800 a couple of weeks ago, it was an original Voda branded model which I initially flashed a year ago (to newer, unbranded K750 firmware) with no problems.

I had trouble with the W800 process using the latest client, but finally managed a successful flash using an earlier version, 15.8. The phone is flashed with R1BC002 which from reading this thread, is the latest version.

However.... the phone is nearly unusable! It will randomly turn itself off, give me "insert sim" messages which need the battery taking out to reset, text messages will often fail first time etc etc etc. With K750 the phone was perfect, have I just been unlucky with a bad flash or is the W800 firmware really that bad? (comments in this thread suggest the firmware is fine).
Thanks in advance for any replies - I have one DaVinici credit left and need to decide what to do!

eek! 2 credits!

You agree that it was a dodgy flash then? I thought it might be.

Guys, I hope you can help.
I just bought a k750i, and it has the latest firmware (already on the phone when I bought it).

There are basically only two things I don't like about the phone:

- video quality is @ 10 fps and doesn't look very good.
- I have the camera shutter sound (even when phone on silent).

I have CID49 so I can't resolve these issues with FAR.

My question is, can I solve BOTH these problems by flashing to the latest W800i firmware using Davinci and how much would this cost?

Many thanks.
