I would be most interested if anyone else with an unstable p990 could try my suggestion regarding 'connection manager', to confirm or deny that it helps with overall system stability....

i have been reading this threat from around 250 pages. but never posted as i didnt get any problem to discuss with u. now i have something to tell u. Hi, first of all, I'm very thankful that fring available for the SEP990i. i used it in my P990 in R5A17 flawlessly without even installing any plugins. however, i upgraded to latest fw today and experiencing some problems in the latest p990i version cda R6E28. everything is ok except that i cannot make a voice call,. (VOIP). phone hangs.. I have installed the SemcVOIPaudio and the semc3rdpartytele ive also tried to install the two versions (4 & 18) but with no success. before upgrading, I have the firmware version R5D17. and it works fine. when i try to make a fring test call the blinking globe went to fade and when i hang up it come back and start blinking normally.. please help... what can i do now? do u guys faced this problem?

currently im using v3.20(25) but i have also tried v3.20(18) and v.3.20(4) with no success, i have also tried installing/uninstalling the 2 plugins mentioned above. still cant call... the gprs freezes(like what happens when i try the gsm call) the gprs connection returns if i end the voip call..i guess the plugins dont work anymore and needed some upgrading..or is it a bug thats to be fixed. my firmware is cda R6E28 p990i. please help me.. tnx!

i also posted this problem to fring support site where they didnt answered me yet! so i came to u for suggestion. i think u will not make me wait like fring did to me.

Anyone know if theres an application for UIQ 3 that will clean the phone's registry files?

I've previously tried to uninstall a particular application but it seems to still be on the phone's registry files.

Master reset/Format internal drive?

While I'm here, DOES anyone else have a p990i that crashes seemingly at random? If so, has anything you've done improve matters?

What is your CDA and could you check via SwissManagerPro HOW MUCH RAM you have right now.

I am trying to figure out what it is that affects the Ram/ROM within the different CDAs and FW versions.

Thanks

i have tried to research for more than a day but still cant seem to find the answers to some of my p9 questions, hope you guys could help me out... thanks in advance!

the installed applications i have are thrown back into "tools" folder after using the phone as a usb mass drive, how can i make it to retain the same settings? like putting smartmovie in "multimedia" folder and the dictionary in "office" folder...

is there a way for me to play .avi files on smartmovie while accessing the files through the file manager? i have many .avi files and they are cluttered if i just browse the files in smartmovie

thanks!

Previous page, mate.

I'm still confused about this - the money's ready, but I can't choose between the K800i and P990i. What I want it for most is it's internet browsing and instant-messaging capabilities which the K800 apparently doesn't have. Anyone got a reason for me not to buy the P990? : (

A couple of days ago, just overnight, the battery on my P990 started draining at a rate of 10% / hour. The battery wouldn't change so drastically in such a short time, but just to make sure, I borrowed a battery from a friend. After a format and a reflash to eliminate any software related issues, I find that today about 4 hours of use and the battery level is down to 74%. So the problem is with the phone. Usually I would get to the end of the day and would have around 60% of battery life left. Unfortunately I will have to take my P990 to the service center on monday.
