Seems the buying public are still set on their Samsungs and Nokias, Although Samsung now have a whole new PDA range thats enticing the higher contract customers!
The P990 and M-series better hurry up here, it takes just one dry phase like this to drop the

name, I mean its been more than 2years for old P910 customers and now they going to Nokia coz theres no replacement, and they even crying bout it!!
Bad move

Not a single UK network has found it worthwhile to stock the M600i in their inventories.
They are all available from independent dealers, but that's it.
Only Vodafone bothered with the W900i as well.
The 5mp (!) LG KG920 is now available from some shops here, such as:

The music-orientated LG U400 is also now available from the same place:

@da wanqsta: Nice new avatar there. Why aren't they stocking the M600...it's seems like a credible smartphone or has the lack of a camera put off the networks.
This morning I got excited when I saw the

J210i being advertised for R299, sans starterpack which is R149 but that would still mean I could get the phone for under R450. So I checked the user reviews on GSMarena and it seems the J210i is a crap phone with little memory and bad battery life.

@ da brixsta,
Yeah the new avatar should be dubbed 'wishful thinking' at this stage. I'm sure to get one, but I'm in not gonna bow to paying silly money for the thing when it does reach the shelves en mass.
I still can't see myself getting one before the new year.
Expenditure on the house ( I pay cash wherever possible...don't want any debt apart from the mortgage), ie. curtains and curtain rails, blinds, light fittings, new carpet, rug, paint and painting stuff, weed-eater, lawnmower, gardening utensils, picture frames, additional furniture etc. plus trip up to Wales and Scotland for all of next week with 3 family members, during peak UK holiday season, has all contributed to making me more finances-conscious before shelling out hundreds on another phone, albeit the P990i.
Will be taking a good few happy snaps with the phones around Edinburgh, then up to Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, where Loch Ness is.
Maybe we'll finally spot 'Nessie'...
WRT the M600i, I don't know why it has been spurned by all the networks...perhaps it shows just what a necessary selling point a camera in a phone is nowadays.
I'll be asking around at the Smartphones Show in October; I'm quite keen to see what the SE reps and the network reps have to say about it all.

*sigh* tell me about it, house+maintenance=expensive lol!
Tell me, gentlemen, is there any way for me to have my avatar turned off altogether? Personally i don't mind em coz i can't see em anyway, with all images being turned off in Netfront, but when i use Opera i keep low res images on... I mean, i don't own a SE, never have, so it's kinda self-defeating to have an avatar depicting one, i think... Advice? Either way, whether it's there or not is really immaterial to moi...

I don't think there's any way in which you can switch off your avatar...I quite like the look of the white M600i...if I had cash I could possibly buy it when it becomes available locally.

Taken with the Nokia 3230:
The rear garden of Wanqaland.
Was considering removing the arch halfway down the garden and move the surrounding flora to the sides, but Mrs A digs the quaint look of the garden as it is.

my memory card is arriving bright and early tomorrow morning. looking forward to that. now i can truly use my phone in a better way.more music, video clips and movies: i can already snap away at my hearts content, but now i would be able to store up to 5thousand pics before downloading...

@ francois,
LOL yeah, and not those old mine-dump-type 'mountains' scattered around Jozi either.
Seriously though, I'd have to go into remote parts of Wales or perhaps the mulls of western Scotland to have garden backdrops as picturesque as say, parts of CT, or the Outeniqua mountains overlooking some of the coastal dorpies dotted along the garden route, or Stellenbosch's Papegaaiberg, or the Langkloof or...agh,nee...what a beautiful country SA is.
