With or without the * at the beginning work both on my p990
but in the post i replied, there was also no * at the end... that one should be there, without it will not work (over here at least (/66 netherlands version)

Several weeks later after latest firmware update and Swiss Manager install:
The P990i finally runs perfectly. Finally as stable as my P910i was. Not a single restart in all this time. Very snappy response -- seems faster than the P910i. A couple of times a message "not enough memory" but without any crash. Alarm bug has disappeared.
The thing has at last fulfilled its promise!
Was it worth all the headache? How could SE have failed to fix these problems before release? It seems to have been a simple memory management problem. Jeez!!!

Can someone tell me what happens with the latest firmware if you don't have SMP or other program closing software and you just use the phone without switsching it of or restarting it? Will it eventually restart to improve performance or will just its multitaks capacities get less?

Guys, ajack posted screenshots of the latest R6 relase at my-symbian...after 36 hours (uptime), with sman and screenshot app running, he had 20% free RAM on his proto p990 (that has less 4mb than our units). He also confirmed the system is now agressively reclaiming memory back every time some app is closed

Yo Ares, is Ajack waiting for the R6 release before rolling out SMan? Put off getting it signed cos I'm waiting for the public release.
