I take it those results are pretty good for a phone with a HD display yes?

The benchmarks force the phone to run at a certain resolution, the Galaxy Note managed higher scores despite having a 1280x800 display and being clocked lower at 1.4GHz.

I also run the benchmarks again, using the latest firmware available (6.0.A.3.62), here are the results:

And my Xperia S also underwent a couple of charging cycles by now, plus it has been used under "production" conditions. I have to say that I am surprised, I was expecting the battery to last less, given the huge screen... After more than 13 hours using during a for me "regular" workday (20 minutes phone calls, a couple of SMS, checking mails set to every 15 mins, listening to about 45 mins of music, browsing for maybe 60 minutes), the battery is still somewhere around 66%. To be fair, 3G was turned off, this for sure makes a difference:

@rog - is the battery widget a stock Sony one as seen in the UI video on the last page?

I am, even though it is too big for my taste. Will switch to a smaller one soon

Do you mean compared to something like the Arc or do you prefer smaller phones? That is the only thing that I worry about - how do you find it compared to the svelteness of the arc?

@rog:
The Xperia S have that fast charging thing? And file transfer speed, how is it? Try transfering 2 Gb of files to it using a 1.0 USB port, if you can. And I saw that you made a battery test. Would you mind doing a stress test? Turn on BT, Wifi, set screen brightness to 65% (+ or -), listen to 2 hours to music (You don't need to listen, just let it playing), install some background apps, and browse about 2 hours (if the battery last this long).
Off course, you don't need if you don't have time, but if you have, please do.
