In terms of IQ.. and in most cases, yes it is, but if you really need to zoom in.. the gs4 zoom would be better.
17 months later, and still.. the 808 stands alone on top of the camera smartphone world...

Some videos from EDC in Las Vegas.. good times
The 808 is an amazing audio/video recording device.. I managed to record hours of HD video, and even when you run out of battery, just put a fresh on in.
The zoom comes in very handy as well.

What the EOS will also do is bring the 808's price further down.. I bet that after the announcement the 808 will dip below $350 on amazon
