Ok guys, just came back from Kallang Pudding and here's what I can say about the upgrade:

1. Yes the firmware upgrade is confirmed, and you will get the full upgrade, not the rumoured MMS only upgrade.

2. After upgrade, the only difference between the "new" T68m and T68i will be minimal - WAP is still 1.2.1 (2.0 for i) and Bluetooth is still 1.0 (i is 1.1). This is all the differences that the tech guy can think of.

3. You will have to pay for the CD and manual, at a slightly lower price than the SGD15.00 I mentioned last week (not sure I can disclose the actual price).

4. Please don't quote "Eve" again if you call the SC, as she said I "saboh" her for all the calls quoting her name when I was there just now.

5. Just a hint, my T68m is working fine, thus why did I go there for today? Anyway, just be patient, as the software is 100% here already, only some other minor "logistics problems" (to me, it's not a problem at all) that causes the delay. However, this time round she refuses to let me know of any specific dates (due to me sabohing her). Hopefully, the 29th May date is still valid though...

Cheers everyone

The Singapore firmware must be different to the other MMS firmware out there, coz it appears your point 2 is incorrect, the upgrade does contain wap 2.0

Hi guys,

I called a service point today and the Kallang Pudding place again. The SP was vague and said release is soon.

However, the Kallang Pudding office said in the next few days. The operator was nice enough to take down my name and contact no. to call me back when it is out.

So I guess should be soon... just wait.

Hi Orang3, it has already been posted by numerous people after they have upgraded their T68m's to i's, the wap is 2.0, it supports jpeg and xHTML. Unless the singapore one is a completely different upgrade, it will be 2.0

And wap 2 doesn't go anything regarding more color, it allows you to view JPG files rather than just gif, and supports more on the scripting side (cookies etc) as well as not just wml pages, but extras such as xHtml as already mentioned.
