I have now had to re-start my phone anumber of times because of this problem.
When trying to make a call, there is no sound coming through the handset unless I select loud-speaker. Then when I transfer it back, silence again? Anyone else had this?
The only similarity in circumstance may have been that it had been connected to my car through Blue-tooth. Normally, the Blue-tooth connects and disconnects in my car ok. Once re-started, the phone is ok. Had the phone almost eight weeks and this has happened four times now and I have had to re-start to reset each time.
It has happened on both 031 and the new 037 FW's.
BTW: Once I flashed through SEUS to 037, the first switch-on failed after the 'Please-Wait' but then switched on normally. I have had no random re-boots since flashing the FW, just this Speaker Fault.
Anyone got any INFO ?

I've had problems connecting to BT headset since I moved to 031, I dont have a car kit but both the wired and ear piece headsets wouldnt answer calls, could answer by the handset but no sound at all in the headsets, just another bug of 031 i guess.
Just checked and still no update for o2 UK.

the reason why people get a flash burn is nothing to do with the firmware, its because the little sensor next to the light gets dirty and so it thinks its in a darker environment then it actually is and it causes the flash to go off stronger.
solution: clean it out with a toothpick every so often

Since SE is acting like nokiu they pass lot more time in preparing the 7 next coming phones than concentrating on their actual ''best seller'' problems and support...
I am afraid that BROD will not be solved before months because they still don't accept the fact that they have build that virus theirself,and if they accept and are not finding from where it comes it's even more terrible

@jasieq,
R1EA037 never caused many problems to whoever that has updated to it except for a few unlucky person.
My K850, for example, never had any reboots since I updated to R1EA037 when the firmware has just been released.
maybe you're gonna say that BROD is not a FW prob but a hardware prob, but you must admit that there were K850 FWs (R1DA038 or CA037 for example - as I find them the most stable FWs) which never caused BROD on ANY K850 (even on these which belong to "a few unlucky ppl")
so tell me then: why SE can't release any stable FW (working perfectly on ALL K850s) any more?
long battery life and Media Player speed are more important for them than the satisfaction of ALL K850 owners?
sorry, but nobody should think that way: "heyyy, my K850 works flawlessly with this new FW, and you're just one of the "unlucky ppl minority" so shut up cuz
I love SE,
I love K850,
I love R1EA03x, and
my life is beautiful!"

@jasieq,
not that I want to defend

or something, but if R1EA037 is causing less problems than the last firmware, than at least

is going on the right track, except for the BROD. Damn the BROD.
I'm quite scared about the BROD. Scared that it might happen to my K850 in the next few weeks, probably it might happen to me in just a few more minutes. I certainly hope it won't happen to me and I hope

will actually fix this problem in the next firmware, which is expected to be released next month.

people from

even don't know what BROD is... or maybe they just pretend they don't know?...
I really hope you (and other ppl) will never have BROD, and also that it'll be fixed in the next FW cuz it really gets me annoyed...
BTW. damn, why am I not the LUCKY K850 user?

I think SE knows about BROD, and I believe that BROD is carrier dependent - alot of O2 phones are the most common victims.
So I guess O2 and other dealers are to blame for the BROD because of firmware alterations. And of course, its a deal with SE, so SE would not be able to penetrate those dealers' activities regarding their own firmware changes.
I don't know, but maybe debranding or complete reflashing then updating is so far the best solution to BROD.
I've got an unbranded model and just modified one of LCARS Expert's flash animations. cool.. ^_^
