At least not before 2.1 has been rolled out.

I was under the impression that HD recording will come with this update and DLNA certification will come in the update after that - correct me if I'm wrong.

We are of course very glad to offer this upgrade earlier than originally planned. Xperia™ X10’s position will also be further strengthened through the addition of HD video recording as part of the same Q3 upgrade. A further upgrade to the Xperia™ X10 in Q4 will make it possible to connect and display wirelessly content on your television and enhance the Timescape™ and Mediascape applications.

Your TV does not need to support wireless. As long as your TV can connect to your home network e.g. through cable, your phone can tranfer content to the TV through your WiFi router. You probably need a TV from 2008/2009 and later like mine Philips to be able to take advantage of this. If you have an older TV set, then your TV is most likely outdated so to speak.

i think they will release let say a X11 with 2.2, a couple of month’s after the release of this phone they will update X10 to 2.2, they will of course not say this directly, they will need sale’s of new phone’s. they are starting to think like apple, i.e X10 =Iphone 3g, X11 =Iphone 3gs, x12 = Iphone 4

X11 and X12 will just have small update on design and spec’s

any one agree?

Just got really excited when I turned to my phone this morning and saw the symbol in the notification saying there's a software update.

Rushed to the PC and plugged in to update.

The update downloaded.

The update installed!

Rebooted the phone...

R2BA026 from R2BA020 what a load of balls.

Do you mean you took off the factory fitted SE protector? If so I might take the plunge and take it off. I did manage to scratch the original protector and, whilst my current protector has no scratches, I have a speck or two of dust underneath which really rile me and in reflections you can see the uneven thickness of the plastic as well as a very slight discoloration in the reflections.

yes, i took off the factory fitted one...

@caff111 my original protector wasn't hard to take off. I didn't test the responsiveness though I installed a new one as soon as I took the original one off. I'm going to take off the second one when I upgrade to 2.1 so I can feel like I have a completely new phone.
