unsure ...
http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.0.html
^ The developer site for Eclair is not easily searchable for "multi-touch/multitouch" but I did quickly find this:
MotionEvent can now report simultaneous-touch information for devices that support it. Up to three pointers can be tracked simultaneously.

99% Sure... Android 2.0 highlights :

"The framework's multi-touch support ensures that key presses aren't missed while typing rapidly with two fingers."

There is a full touch phone similar to the XM 5800 on Symbian with higher specs but it looks like it has no 3.5mm jack at the moment. Satio-esque design and it seems to be near to being finished. Does that put people off having no 3.5mm jack on a music/multimedia phone?

Played with an early X3, it had a different design without a 1Ghz processor so its probably an early proto. I also played with a newer proto and found the UI buggy and laggy. Its wrong to say its the most powerful smart phone because that goes to the HD2. The size of both phones are similar as well because the X3 has quite large borders around the screen.

I didn't know that Android 1.6 hadn't had OPP. That's a shame.

Erm, yes. I don't care, but a lot of people do.

I think we shouldn't expect too much from the next announcement...
