One thing has disapointed me completely with the K850i is the video function.

My friend took a video on his N95 and sent it to me, My K850i cant even play it. (Comes up with video playback failure)

Playback of some video is always out of sync too.

To me this is shocking for a flag ship model.

I know that this has been mentioned before but SE dont seem to care or are not interested in even fixinging it.

I do have R1EA031 which has improved the playback speed a little, but it shouldnt be still out of sync now. The phone has had many updates and been on the market for some time.

Hi,
Any major different between R1EA031 and R1EA037 version?
As i noticed on page 1 where these are the only improvement.
- Improved Media Player UI speed.
- Updated Text software revision.
- Connection icon in java apps has been re-added.

The camera quality still the same as before which the Camera: 3.7.

I guess I still stick which current R1EA031 firmware

The changelog of R1EA037 may be invisible for us to tell, but SE must do something with it. We just don't know. Enjoy the life, enjoy the phone as it is and forget all bugs. Newer Cyber-shots are on the way and accept the fact that K850i is what it is now..

well, if its from N95 then probably the video resolution is 640 x 480, and K850i resolution is only at 320 x240.
That would give you Playback failure.

I tried that once with my ex-phone, k750 - loaded 320 x240 video and it won't play.

I can get some 640 videos to play on the phone.

The problem is not with the phone but with the encoding in the media player it self.

The coding by SE is poor and this is why there are so many problems with the media function being very slow.

The new firmware have address some issues with video play back and slowness, but its still along way of from being good
