Hi!

I am reading this thread from start to finish, and also searching...

but can someone tell me quickly, about battery life, if I was to go walk-abouts with a W950i and TomTom installed?

I know I can use my in-car charger whilst driving, and would do so.

It's the walk-about usability that I am interested in!

Thanks!

I think running TomTom while walking will drain your battery in 2-3 hours.

I have an M600i with TomTom Navigator 6 and I used it coupled with a bluetooth receiver from QStarz (BT-Q818). My battery lasted for 6-7h until it needed another recharge (lighting was at maximum), or better said on a 25h drive (France -> Romania) I needed to recharge the phone 4 times
What could I say...I'm happy with the performances. (the surprise though was the bluetooth receiver which did not...I repeat DID NOT need recharging).
Too bad though a reliable Romania map does not exist yet...

Thanks to everyone who told me about battery life !

@stormlv - how do you keep your M600 in place? I wonder about sharp corners!

@Ofiaich
Well, you see, the phone sort of jams into place, so there isn't really any risk of dropping the phone.
It's like they designed the dashboard with my phone in mind. Either way...this is much cheeper then getting a car holder and i don't have to turn my head when i look at the GPS. Even though a part of the speedometer is covered by the phone...no biggy...Tom Tom show my speed more accurate that the car itself. (or at least I think).

Hi stormlv!

thanks for your quick reply ! You are right about the accuracy of the gps, as compared with the car. Lots of discussion about speed accuracy here
